Still copies left on limited orange/yellow swirl. Comes in at a whopping $64.95 AUD and has a few extra bits and pieces.

For those of you in the US/overseas that may not have heard of Tash i'd urge you to give her a listen. Bit of a genre-hopper with roots in blues/jazz/soul/funk.

Here's a couple of her more popular songs over here in Australia:

  2. I'm a huge chair fan but still to this day i have no idea how people can place this album as Silverchair's best release. And i'm WELL aware that i'm the minority here!

It is so far last for me it isn't funny! IMO every release they brought out got better and better, still devastated to this day that they broke up... Diorama and Young Modern are 2 of my all time favourite albums, and Daniel's solo stuff isn't the same :(

  3. What's everyones thoughts on these tracks after we've had a few weeks to digest them??

They're definitely growing on me, TalkTalk is probably my favourite of the lot, with Disillusioned being a close 2nd and then The Doomed.

If Disilusioned didnt have that slow, boring verse about putting the silicone obsession down, it would probably be in my top 10 APC tracks of all time...

Overall im pretty hyped for this though! Definitely a grower!

  4. Just throwing it out there, their latest EP "You Could Be Happy" could go close to my favourite GGD release of all time...

How can they release 3 albums of mundane mediocrity (i mean SFTROU and Magnetic definitely had their moments) and then come out with 3 of the best songs they've ever released out of nowhere?

Any GGD fan of the 90s needs to give their latest EP a listen. It's bafflingly great...

I have seen them a couple of times and at one point had a stack of records.....i just lost all interest in them and got hell bored of the DLC sound

$34.99 is crazy for old songs "reimagined" ......seems like a shit idea for a band with 3 albums

I expect more from you piky!! DLC have taken over from Karnivool as the kings of aus alt rock in my opinion. Aesthesis was great as was The Catalyst Fire.

I will definitely be picking this up! Thank you OP :)

I'll give it a listen later. Really dig Room for Squares and haven't loved anything since.

I'd have to agree with you. Room for Squares = Heavier Things > everything he did after that. Those 2 are definitely 2 of my favourite albums of all time, but I absolutely adore all of his work.

I think I'm enjoying Wave 2 more than Wave 1, but they're both extremely neat pieces of work. Excited for wave 3.

That's silly because TDL is their best record :P.

Differing opinions are chill, but, TDL is their peak, in my opinion. The 2 before it are great too. Hard Candy they started sliding down the cliff they ended up falling off of and they never climbed back up. :(

Speedway is close to my favourite CC song, but outside of that, i just find the album a bit boring... Whereas i don't think there's a single song on Hard Candy i dont like. You're right though. Subjectivity ftw and all that ;)

Decided to pull the trigger. Been listening to these nonstop since this thread started.

Still think TDL deserves a 10 million copy pressing.

I really struggle with TDL... Think the other 3 (earlier releases) are far stronger. In saying that I don't hate Saturday Nights/Sunday Mornings either. Recovering is certainly my favourite though. Probably my favourite sophomore effort of any band ever (sorry Room on Fire).
