Yeah, I'll have no way of playing that cassette. The split grooves on the 10" sound cool, but also pretty impractical for just wanting to hear the song in context of the full release. I'm thrilled to hear this release, but the bizarre formatting (and readily available copies) aren't exactly compelling me to buy one just yet. I'm sure that when I get around to it and see it in person, I'll realize it's worth every penny. But right now, I've never been more split between fuckyeah and meh on a new release.

For the serious ERR fans, I had forgotten about this very candid interview she did with Flab magazine last summer I think. Not a big fan of Maria, but whatever ....(She also interviewed Cathy Pellow at Sargent House, which is a good listen as well).
It is about the music of course, gets into the lyrics, which then REALLY gets into ERR's personal life -she has Bipolar disorder, but is fairly well stabilized on meds. In case you don't know, Bipolar destroys a lot of people through various means. She gives a very serious, straightforward interview. Very intelligent, insightful woman - with much creative energy and talent as well. She talks about what the "Black Dog" is in "Ride In My Place" on Kitsune, which shows up again on her solo work. I 've listened to it twice, though it's been a while. I'll shut up now.

Why not? I find ambient stuff to be some of the best vinyl I own! Put it on when writing or reading, or even just laying on the couch. Really sets the pensive introspective mood.

It's without a doubt the best fucking thing ever recorded, no hyperbole.Honestly, I wish they would have announced this at the same time as the box. The box is cool but I definitely would have rather saved myself $100+ and bought this. If this whole thing didn't scream money grab before (yeah right), it definitely does now. Glad everyone else can get what they want though.
