So damn excited for this. This is probably the one of maybe 2 or 3 bands my wife got me into before we got married. Her tastes are definitely not aligned with mine. I always heard of tool but never gave them a chance until she handed me the CD for 10,000 days and I was enthralled with the art and packaging. I've been a big fan ever since. She on the other hand could care less now. I'm honestly still surprised we are getting a new Tool album. Hoping for a decently priced vinyl option to play. If the mega-super-deluxe-crazy package is available I'm sure I'll try for thay too but just happy this is happening.

Lol I was referring more to the online drama with fans and their opinions. The dude did a bad thing and served his time. That's how the justice system works. The band and Tim can do whatever they please and so can their fans.

I remember reading something recently on their page about them letting go of a member due to some alcohol issues. Some bands are a spinning door. Always fresh faces. Doesn't mean they HAVE to change their name. There last 3-4 albums have ripped. I'm not ordering but I'll def give it a chance. $30+ is too rich for my blood nowadays. I know better to PO at that price.

Finally. Don't give a shit about the past drama. I'm hear for the music. The new songs they've released are stellar.

Enjoying the album so far. Def not AOTY worthy imo but I can see why some are feeling it. Unfortunately my copy has a very weird crease spot. Hard to explain but it's like a very small portion of the record is skinnier than the rest and it's causing some issues with the tonearm and needle. It's bouncing like the record is warped but I can't see any warp to the record. It's almost as off something very thin and heavy was put on top of it. First time I've ever had to explain a record issue like that. It's hard to see without actually looking at it and see it work on the turntable.

Big yikes from me. This is crazy. I haven't even listened to the whole album yet because I've been waiting for this. My excitement is at a all time low right now.

I'll chime in on the record shipping fiasco. Got mine in last week and opened up the package and the records were just chillin outside of any kind of sleeves and just smushed between the jacket. I've never had a record ship like that before. I've been too busy to play it but I'll have to get around to it tonight and check out the vinyl too. Bummer.
