Prestonlanes
That Bing & Ruth record is so good. Was in my top five. Anxiously waiting for the High Aura'd & Mike Shiflet collab to come in the mail. http://www.npr.org/event/music/385704264/high-aurad-mike-shiflet-parlour-games

johnnypaddock
The Kitchen Label started doing vinyl last year (or 2013 cant remember) and it made me hopeful for them to release their back catalog on some wax I've never heard of them until these last few posts. I'd love to see some of their stuff on vinyl, but in the meantime it would be nice if they offered FLAC downloads. I'm not a huge fan of CD's as physical media, plus they are pretty expensive on that site. The music samples I've heard sound great though. Pretty cool label. I'm not the biggest fan either, but their cd packaging is beyond what is considered normal, often include artbooks and fancy design to justify the price. Their latest release by Haruka Nakamura is essential listening for live jazz/classical, so beautifully done

deer
Don't really think this merits its own thread since I haven't found a single post about the band on this forum, so here. OISEAUX-TEMPÊTE: french experimental/post-rock band who released an utterly killer debut S/T album back in 2013 and are now releasing their sophomore effort, called "ÜTOPIYA?" European preorder, but with the current drop in the exchange rate of the euro it comes out under $30ppd USD for a 2xLP "marbled" gatefold shipped to the US ($25.50ppd EUR). Really damn cheap price. Their previous self titled was pressed on red/black marble first press and white/black second on really heavyweight vinyl. Gives an idea of what this pressing will be like. First three songs on the album up and streaming on Sub Rosa, too... really nice, long, dense songs. I'm really looking forward to this one. They got a really awesome bass clarinetist to play alongside them in songs as well. Neanderthal
Has anyone checked out Nicolas Jaar's reinterpreted soundtrack for The Color of Pomegranates? I was skeptical because I love the film and think the original/score audio is a big part of it. But um, Jaar is a god.
JRHews
I have it just not listened yet. Jaar is god so I'm sure it's brilliant.

nelso330
Yes I'd say the second half is more offthesky... And first few tracks are more pleq... Pleq often using a lot more beats and noise (but still has drone stuff out there) - offthesky from what I've heard seems to stay more toward moving drones and less noise... If that helps at all lol
