tittus
http://theghostwood.bandcamp.com/album/development Punk band outta New Orleans. FFO Against Me and Gainesville. One of my favorite albums. Album came out in 2005 and it's a real shame they didn't stick with it then. Recently got back together but haven't seen much outside of one off shows. Bladew1ll1s1sdead
I'm gonna throw it out there that The Blood Brothers and The Format are underrated at least in my area. Unknown are bands like Vowel, Citycop, Free Throw and Endeavors.

TFP
I absolutely love The Music, a band of guys from Leeds, UK. I would say they are/were definitely underrated and unknown. Unknown because, it is basically impossible to search for their albums due to their name. Their first album is self titled. So try looking for The Music, "Music, The" it's ridiculous. I had to buy their first album on Discogs. They are now broken up, but I would have to say they probably are my favorite group at the moment! They released 3 albums, and I call them "The Trilogy" haha: -The Music (2LP) -Welcome To The North (2LP) -Strength In Numbers (LP) Take The Long Road and Walk It - From "The Music" Welcome To The North:

forgeagain
Three 2000-2002 era defunct gems from Chicago/Milwaukee area. Hero of a Hundred Fights - most underrated short-lived post-hardcore mathy whatever band of all time http://forgeagainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-remote-the-cold Runner I honestly have no idea where to tell you to find anything by them. CD/LP on Sickroom but it's not streaming anywhere that I could find instantly. Should be on iTunes and Amazon and whatnot though so you can probably peep it there. Check Engine Same thing, only the full length CD was on Southern (vinyl on Sickroom).

Aych
Sound Team was always a favorite unknown band of mine. Movie Monster was a pretty solid dance-rock album. Too bad they never really got any recognition, despite having major-label support.
