thedannychang
I thought it'd be a cool idea to start a thread about any good vinyl from artists on Bandcamp that others may not know about. On Bandcamp's homepage, you can sort their top lists to show the top-selling vinyl on Bandcamp for that day. Yesterday, I discovered the band Postmadonna (http://postmadonna.bandcamp.com/) through this list and snagged a copy of their record for $11 (plus shipping). You should check out the music if you like math/pop/rock/experimental music. Some of it kind of reminds me of Their/They're/There. Additionally, their album artwork is great. Anyway, have you guys bought any vinyl recently via Bandcamp from artists that others may not know about? Would love to know about any great records that should be in my collection! aopps42, shawnayala90, MahPah and 1 other
eskimosnow27
I discovered this group accidentally at some point late last year and I was instantly hooked: https://glacials.bandcamp.com/ For fans of shoegaze/math/post-rock music. Oh, I must also mention the artwork + vinyl are gorgeous (I'm a sucker for clear vinyl). DakotyTSI
danbass
Found these guys through a random bandcamp sale. Turned into one of my most listened to bands for a few months. Wish How To Perform a Funeral was on vinyl. http://peterkernel.bandcamp.com/
thechrisformat
I do this every couple weeks; I love the discover feature on bandcamp. I've been on a huge folk-sy kick lately, so I've been able to find some neat new stuff. A few that I've enjoyed recently are Small Houses (http://smallhouses.bandcamp.com/), Doc Dailey & Magnolia Devil (https://docdaileyandmagnoliadevil.bandcamp.com/album/catch-the-presidents), and New American Farmers (https://newamericanfarmers.bandcamp.com/album/brand-new-day). brettwilks
These are some good friends of mine, and they are some of the best musicians I've heard. They are called Some Say Leland, and they just released a new album, Brought Low: http://somesayleland.bandcamp.com/album/brought-low DakotyTSI

lexicondevil
I made a thread for this release, but since they are relatively unknown and have a Bandcamp... http://hellbear.bandcamp.com/ A thrashier, faster, screamier(?) Motorhead. I don't know, you can probably come up with better current comparisons. HELLBEAR'S Self-Titled debut EP, a 5 song powerhouse set pressed on 'Ultra Clear w/ Blood Red splatter' 45 RPM 12" vinyl w/ digital download. Limited to 250 copies. julioanta
The 7" for my label's next release is up on Bandcamp, with an instant download of the title track: Miserable – Halloween Dream (Ultra Clear 7" w/ Gold Haze, Hand-numbered). Miserable is Kristina Esfandiari, former Whirr vocalist, and her solo stuff is absolutely incredible. Check it out. https://thenativesound.bandcamp.com/album/halloween-dream-ep
radiatorhums
Boyfrndz is pretty rad. Can't think of a good way to describe them, maybe noisy pop rock. They signed to Brutal Panda a few months ago. They have two releases with vinyl on Bandcamp. http://boyfrndz.bandcamp.com/

soundboard
Rad noise rock, rad packaging: http://jackbuck.bandcamp.com/album/ugly and http://jackbuck.bandcamp.com/album/soft This is awesome. The wood packaged 7 inch looks really neat. brettwilks
Easily one of the weirdest records I own is Treasure Mammal's Checkognize. It has elements of experimental, electronic, pop, noise, hip hop, comedy, and...is wtf a genre? You can listen here: http://treasuremammal.bandcamp.com/album/checkognize Vinyl available here: http://kingdommammalia.bigcartel.com/product/treasure-mammal-checkognize-12-vinyl-lp-album

kamalatapes
Ordered one. You should probably start another thread for this. The Whirr fanboys will buy this up! Whirr fanboys already know about this... I'm on the fence about this one unfortunately Posted here: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/97085-miserable-k-esfandiari-ex-whirr-halloween-dreams-7-ep-up-now/?hl=miserable p.s. I can tell this thread is going to getting hard to sift through... probably best each band gets their own link with a short description of their sound next to the title. But oh well, I guess it's digital crate digging

WalnutSoap
Remember the Radio are kind of a Punk / Rock n' Roll fusion. Super noisy, super fun. Their latest record is currently available on Bandcamp - pay what you want (minimum $1) Check it - http://remembertheradio.bandcamp.com/album/sharper-moon-rabbit
Guest Justin Maheiny
Rad noise rock, rad packaging: http://jackbuck.bandcamp.com/album/ugly and http://jackbuck.bandcamp.com/album/soft Their 7" description is really funny. "Lastly, the package in which our random colored 7" (7" refers to the diameter of the 7" that is on random colors of vinyl) vinyl record is placed is made out of wood and our band name (our band is named Jack Buck which is why Jack Buck is carved into the front of our wooden case) is carved in it and also the name of the album (our 7" vinyl record is in a wood package that contains our 7" is of a random color) which makes it especially easy to identify because it has our name on it and is made of wood. brettwilks
This is pretty incredible. How did you find out about this band? I'm probably gonna snag this! I've known the lead singer (Abe Gill) since 2005. I used to put on shows in my college town and Houston. He randomly attended one of my shows in Houston and asked if we would put on a show in my college town. A week later, we received his album, Secret Treasures in the mail, and I'll never forget the awesome time me and my friends had listening to it. By the end, we put on numerous shows for him, and even did a radio promotion campaign for his album Expect The Max. Checkognize is his first proper full-length. I love Treasure Mammal. One person may say it's talentless. But I can easily see art in his recordings and performances.
Shitty Rambo
SPELLS - Take Time/Slice Away 7" is great. They remind me of The Shell Corporation, but faster. http://spellsrules.bandcamp.com/album/take-time-slice-away Blaine
