Sorry if it is really obvious but...

What is the logic in pressing this on grey wax?

Surely it should be green if anything?

grey is cheaper to produce than green, is my guess.. the boot plant (rumoured to be in canada this time?) had some white leftover and mixed it with some black, voila!

Tempted to buy this just so I don't wear out my OG copy, but the fact that it's a double LP stops me. Besides differentiating between real copies and bootleg ones, it seems pointless. Unnecessary double LP's are a pet peeve I guess.

amen, seems typical for them though..

Nope! The colour of the vinyl doesn't justify a higher price usually.Black vinyl is also coloured vinyl, the basic material is milky clear so basically all records are pigmented beside the milky clear ones. :)

not trying to "justify" any higher price.. would never jump into that minefield.  Was trying to figure out why they went grey instead of green.

*cheaper for the manufacturer, if they have white pellets leftover and a bunch of black sitting around.. cheaper for them, rather than order a fresh bag of green vinyl.

*ordered grey from VD.
