The Exquisite Death of NK
Has anyone bought or sold records using this service? Pros, cons, thoughts? THE_James_Champ
I liked it when it was new. I was able to get a record from it. But honestly, with the auctions now, and the amount of people following, it seems to big for it's britches.
tetsuodaironman
Tell the dude who runs this that he can literally GO GET FUCKED. I knew it was a scheme from the get-go. $5 records until we get thousands of followers and then we can borderline auction/flip records. This is me teaching them a lesson: cambionic

I knew it was a scheme from the get-go. $5 records until we get thousands of followers and then we can borderline auction/flip records. This is me teaching them a lesson: I thought this same thing at first too. I didn't realize they are selling other people's records, and just taking a % cut. Same as any other service, ie discogs or eBay.
TheGhostOfRandySavage
Yeah, I don't have a problem with them. They still sell once a day at $5, and then help people maximize what they can get for selling their shit to idiots who aren't really "collectors" and don't know what stuff is worth. Apparently they take a smaller percentage than eBay and other services, and let you sell your first couple for free. I guess user Dave Grohl knows one of the guys and I know a couple other users have used them to sell stuff and vouch for them being solid dudes. toomanyrecords
The auctions get ridiculous A copy of chvrches under the tide ep went for like 40 bucks and there are dozens of copies on discogs below 15 Oh well. People are fucking stupid. Power to them.

Vinyl Fury
I hadn't heard of them until they used a few of my photos from http://Instagram.com/vinylfury in their auctions
tetsuodaironman
Nope. Unfollowed this shit long ago.Me too. They followed me on IG. I followed back out of courtesy, then they unfollowed me the next day. Fuck them.
Shitty Rambo
Nope. Unfollowed this shit long ago. They kept following me and unfollowing me so I blocked them. They have a secondary account called hxcvinylshop that isn't a pain in the ass with the follow/unfollow crap but it's mostly metalcore stuff. I don't mind watching kids freak out in the comments. Giekorock
I've actually seen a few things go in auction for way less then what they usually go for. But it's rare. Plus with an added $15 shipping to canada, and our exchange rate, it's not even close to being worth it.
toomanyrecords
Five Buck Vinyl is currently auctioning off one of Ross's Nickelodeon comps (With the doug 7") It's at $57 with 44 mins remaining lmfao
MahPah
In my humble opinion it is the equivalent of ebay for instagram, accept the auctions are 15-30 minutes instead of a week.
_unproductive
recently sold a few records thru them and honestly their fees are outrageous. could be a good service if they tweaked a few things, but i dont think i will sell anything else thru them
cambionic
I got blocked for calling out the obvious gambit that this page was. They exploit vinyl newbs, use other people's pictures without asking, and use the follow-unfollow trick to gain followers without boosting their follow count. It's a shady service. cdcart and Duff
cdcart
Selling is awesome because so many buyers are uneducated and spend WAY more than they could easily get the record somewhere else. So as a buyer, be careful not to get sucked into a bidding war.

s_r0d
Their account seems shady. I believe they have a hip hop account as well. They also used one of my pictures too
_unproductive
Did you make more money than you would have on ebay or discogs? i wouldn't say you make more, but things sell much faster. Its more convenient than anything, but you lose a lot in fees.
