jeromium
Sigh, a couple of my sleeves were glued too. Didn't realize what the problem was, as I hadn't seen the previous posts about it here. The 1st one came out ok, and I noticed the glue. Third one wasn't so lucky and I ended up with an inch and a half tear on the face of the sleeve. The insert was also stuck but I managed to get that one out without damage.
kidamnesiac
I bought a copy of the 3xLP retail and have had no sound problems or issues with sleeves getting stuck. Sorry so many of you are having a bad time. The layout of this album is stunning. It's really shaping up to be my AOTY and is definitely a fav in the collection now. Email Matador---they're replacing my jacket and the one sleeve that was damaged. jeromium
simple_torture
I'm now part of the "inner sleeve glued to jacket" club (purchased at a local record store). E-mailed Matador, waiting for response. Still haven't listened to the damn album!

simple_torture
Listen to the damn album! Wanted to listen to the LP before an MP3 version, and I didn't want to damage the package...but I got the "try to yank them" message from Matador, so here goes nothing! timsimmons
Can you not slide your finger up the spine to loosen that tape?
ryantark
This is what worked for me...very easily: Open the tri fold all the way. You'll see the back-end seams on the first and third LPs. Pull those seams up slowly, everything should slide out just fine. Press down to re-seal the back-end seams before putting inners back in. simple_torture
Did anyone get a replacement jacket/sleeves for the glued/ripped ones? Matador was very quick to respond to my initial e-mails, saying they'd be sending replacements to the record stores...but nothing has come up for a while. bjorn
Anyone interested in a Kurt Vile poster? I drew and screen printed these for his show at Cain's Ballroom last night. This poster features three colors (including two split fountains), measures 18"x24", and is printed on French DuroTone Butcher 100# cover stock. The edition is split into two variants, 45 on blue and 30 in gold tones. They're on sale for $20, or $35 for both colors: http://bjornbauerart.storenvy.com/collections/257704-gigposters/products/16511346-kurt-vile-w-purling-hiss-solo WAXXX, youspinmeround, Stravinsky and 2 others

dkrtz
Nice prints! Seeing Kurt Sunday. anyone know what merch he has on this tour?
Mathyou99
He has a lot of vinyl and a good selection of shirts. He didn't have any tour posters that I saw when he played Lawrence. His Parallelogram split with Steve Gunn was a very nice surprise but it's limited. I was told by the merch guy it was 6 per show.

Mathyou99
I'm embarrassed that I hadn't been aware of it at all. Ya if you can get it off his website, it'd probably be easier than lugging it around all show due to short supply.

dkrtz
Just saw Kurt in New Orleans, apparently it was the last night of the tour. it was a really great show! They had really cool purple colored prints /75 for the nola show that looks really cool. they sold outta the 3xlp at the show but I was able to get one from matador for $6 cheaper than at the show just now so it's been a pretty cool night
