¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This Reds v Pirates game is NUTS 10 HR's in 6 innings ties the record for HR's in a game at Great American Ballpark. 3 innings to go to break that record!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
pretty cool little story about rule 5 pick Wei-Chung Wang on the brewers team. 20 years old Taiwanese pitcher, got his first MLB paycheck, first MLB game and saw snow for the first time yesterday http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140414&content_id=72062880¬ebook_id=72062884&vkey=notebook_mil&c_id=mil
sacredheart
I think it is great that ESPN had an article on the front page of their baseball section about how the Braves should release Uggla and then later on goes on to knock two out of the park and lifting his team to victory and made a great defensive play. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think its great SI ranked milwaukee #1 on their power rankings yesterday, and then they followed that up by getting blanked by the cardinals last night
sacredheart
I saw the dodgers listed at 1 and Brewers at 2 on the power rankings yesterday. Didnt make any sense to me.
catalinacaper
I'm still confused why the Dodgers hype train is still rolling.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#2, not #1, its still funny they got ranked that high and scored zero
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I dont think theres another city in america that embraces WWE more than the Pittsburgh region. the Yes movement is taking over everything. The players are doing it now in the dugout after homeruns

thebiglebowski
Had no idea that was a wwe thing. Know we moved on, but if anyone cares, the condition for a player's BA to be higher than BABIP is if: HR(AB-H) > H(K-SF) So this will happen to players who hit a high ratio of HRs and SFs to strikeouts. I guess the reverse would be true as well -- a player with a ton of strikeouts with fewer HRs and SFs will show an artificially high BABIP relative to average (although it sounds like this players average will just be shitty anyways). catalinacaper
Rooting for your favorite team is so passé
thebiglebowski
Homerism isn't rooting for your team, it's defending Ryan Braun!
stl_ben
Is homerism bad when you team is the best? Go cards.
BuzzersonKillwell
Wouldn't that make you 2nd best?
catalinacaper
Strasburg getting hammered in 3/4 starts. 14 ER in only 21 innings for four starts this year. Is he still a top of the rotation guy?

Brock N Roll
Just got back from the whitesox/redsox game. COLD AS FUCK. It was high 20's and windy and at one point snowing just a tiny bit. It was a good game but I was bummed that Pedroia didn't start because he's my favorite player. As soon as Napoli slid into second, he knew immediately something was wrong but reading reports now saying it's not broken.
