counterfiction Posted December 26, 2007 Share Posted December 26, 2007 So I got a gift certificate to the mall-goth-outlet known as Hot Topic for christmas. what to spend it on? vinyl of course. i skipped over the first re-press of Deja Entendu and found myself a copy of the MLIW Stagger Lee 7" on the color I needed. so I brought it up to the counter and the guy says the following: ::flips record over:: ::LAUGHS:: "How cool, a tiny little record" man, i haven't bitten my tongue that hard in a long time. I haven't bought anything there in years (the last thing I go was a Batman belt buckle almost 3 years ago) but whenever I'm in the mall I stop in there. Every now and then I can find a cool shirt I like or get a good deal on a record or two. My only problem with it is that it helps people think they know what they are talking about when it comes to punk bands and stuff and they very rarely do. They're stacked into it wayyy too tight and you can't see what's behind the first one since you can't flip behind it to see. It's quite evident they don't really give two shits about the format.
