Now there's a store that sells newer stuff, but the prices are ridiculous. Like 16-18 bucks for a no idea release or a dischord title. Stopped in Alexandria on the way home, but they didn't have anything I really wanted. Both stores had a good selection of vinyl though. Only drained about half a tank, spent roughly around 150 bucks, and got around 54 lp's. I brought a stack to my buddies store Sonic Boom. I sold 1 of each title (of the duplicates) to him for 2 dollars more than what I paid. He gave me $42 for 6 lps. I figure that if hot topic is going to do this I should absorb as much movable product as possible. The more money my store can produce the more it can carry. I wouldn't necessarily carry alot of these titles per say but I'll move them on discogs and ebay. The funny thing about this whole thing was the reaction of the employees and managers about it. They KNEW what I was doing. They just did not understand it. It cracked me up. "well what are you going to do with all these vinyl?" "Considering the cost for me wholesale is nearly 4 times what I am paying, I feel like I am being forced to do this as a business.
