Green Tea Papi
do these sound any better than the picture disc? im tempted to get one of them and just sell the pic disc then, hmmm. There's a little surface noise but it's not noticeable.

yarostino
There's a little surface noise but it's not noticeable. thanks for the info! i did a quick search and its also listed at juno.co.uk with a june 12th release date http://www.juno.co.uk/products/lost-in-translation/534862-01/ my guess is that there's gonna be quite a few more copies coming up soon
ookowalsky
Great. Please hit me up, if this becomes available somewhere in Europe. USPS is the worst parcel service in the complete world and i won't give them another 25$ for damaging my records and sleeves.

kamalatapes
They seem to be 08 bootleg represses http://www.discogs.com/search/?q=lost+in+translation&format_exact=Compilation Happy to own City Girl on wax though

Number11
I hate bootlegs, but I wouldn't mind owning this just for the artwork. The bootleg copies of Akira sold pretty well, I wouldn't be surprised to see more and more bootleg copies for rare soundtracks being released in the future. billya
As long as it sounds good, I am alright with owning a bootleg of this. Great movie and excellent soundtrack. kamalatapes
slinch
I don't mind buying a bootleg as well. If a label doesn't want to repress a sought-after record in 10+ years I'll gladly give my money to someone who does, as long as it sounds good of course. itsgoodtobefree
I would be all for bootlegs if they were from a good source. Vinyl records sourced from average quality digital files or CD rips are pointless to me.
kamalatapes
These aren't recordings through a wall I'm pretty sure they'll sound good enough. I will never understand the quest for pristine sound quality and I used to study audio engineering so for the most part I'd say everyone's longing for the clearest and crispiest of sounds. Unless one has a 7.1 surround sound and equalizer, the volume knob should suffice for one of thee greatest OST's of the 2000's. 30$ isn't that bad compared to the price of the OG pressing. tarzioo_
I have a few bootlegs and they've been pretty good so I feel hopeful on this one. I did just order a bootleg of black parade for $20 and I'm 99% convinced it'll sound like crap but I wanted to take a risk while I wait for a repress in the future or for me to ever have $400 to spend on it. tarzioo_
You are very right! Lol. They keep restocking. At least they aren't increasing the price each time? Someone did the on the Scott pilgrim. He kept restocking and would increase the price each time and I would feel bad when I told people more were available because it ended up getting ridiculous. Through a wall? What does surround sound have to with how 2-channel recordings are mixed and mastered for vinyl production? Also, equalizers generally don't help sound quality. The volume knob? What? Greatest OSTs of the 2000s??Alright, that last one was definitely subjective but I'm otherwise convinced you have no idea what you're talking about. glass realms

brillwill
green bootleg came in. Sounds excellent. I own the picture disk version and this one sounds a lot cleaner. Great deal for those of you still missing out on this soundtrack. I honestly picked up extra copies for gifts in the future, don't know if this one will ever see the light of day again. The jacket, insert vinyl, labels are all printed with beautiful quality, honestly it looks like and sounds like a japanese official press. Does not scream bootleg at all. Now onto the marie antoinette! Burkazoid and kamalatapes

Wow, either you never really did study audio engineering and this is just a bad attempt at a joke, or your school is one of the worst schools in existence. glass realms
