THE_James_Champ
Here's the first episode of Powers, based on the Brian Michael Bendis series. Glad it finally came to fruition, I love the comic. radiatorhums
I'm curious, but I have not seen a lot of kind words about it.
diabretic
I ripped through all 26 issues of Saga in 2 days. Holy fuck, I'm a huge fan. jonnywreck
radiatorhums
I'm around 20 issues shy of finishing Hellblazer. It's taken me quite a while... I will say that I think Milligan is a shitty writer for this book and him doing 50 issue is wearing on me. Other than that, I've really enjoyed the bulk of the series. diabretic
Anybody else check out Big Man Plans? Image is putting out the best stuff right now. Saga, Rumble, Bitch Planet, They're Not Like Us. Love em all.
radiatorhums
I'm excited to read Big Man Plans, I really like Eric Powell a lot. That last Good series was excellent.

Yeah, Delano, Ennis, Azzarello, and Carey were my favorite writers on Hellblazer. Milligan's run was a little meh.
kurtz
Agreed on Milligan's Hellblazer being lackluster. Azzarello and Carey's runs ruled. I haven't read much of the early Hellblazer books. I pretty much started when Azzarello did and bought it monthly til the end.

I thought the first arc or two were just mis-steps, but his run didn't really pick up for me.
contiinstereo
I just decided to really start getting into comics recently. Always had interest, but I was just super intimated by the whole thing. Saw the new Spider-Gwen series (I love love love Gwen Stacy) and thought now was as good a time as ever. Figured I'd try getting into some stuff that's no already too deep to catch up. Hit up my local store today and splurged: Spider Gwen 1-2 Star Wars 1-3 Princess Leia 1 Darth Vadar 1-2 Ms. Marvel 1 Mile Morales Spiderman 1-7 (paperback collection) Inhuman 1 Edge of Spider-Verse 1-5 Super excited to start reading these. Probably going to check out All New X-Men and Uncanny Avengers next. Anyone else reading the above? Or have recommendations?
stl_ben
My recommendation.....try some non-marvel books. Image is killing it sacredheart, diabretic and jonnywreck
kurtz
I actually just read Inhuman #1-8 this morning. One of the better Marvel books I have read in a while. I wish Joe Madureira would have stuck around for more than 3 issues though. Image really is putting out the most quality books these days. I've been buying monthly comics since the early 90's and I've never had as many Image comics on my pull list as I do now. diabretic
contiinstereo
Awesome, I'll check them out. What's good that they put out?
kurtz
current and recent Image comics that I am buying... Autumnlands Black Science Chew East Of West Elephantmen The Fade Out Fatale Jupiter's Legacy Low Manhattan Projects Nameless Outcast Prophet Saga Ten Grand Trees If you are just starting out with comics, I would recommend Saga or Chew from the current Image lineup. Saga is the best book they are putting out and Chew is the most fun. jonnywreck

sacredheart
For me at Image (which has the most of my pull over DC and Marvel) Southern Bastards Manifest Destiny Revival Roche Limit Birthright Nailbiter Trees Saga Copperhead Drifter Wytches Deadly Class Alex + Ada Chew East of West
radiatorhums
Oh yeah, Southern Bastards is fantastic as well. I was very surprised by it. Deadly Class is becoming one of my favorite books too. I gave up on Roche Limit after 3 or 4 issues, it didn't really grab me.
sacredheart
I enjoy Roche Limit quite a bit, but am a little concerned about it being 3 sets of 5 issues, all taking place at different times. I'm not sure if the story is going to be able to keep me interested in what is essentially just 3 mini series loosely connected.
jonnywreck
Deadly Class is one of my favorites, but I think I just like anything Remender does. Everything else listed is pretty much my reading as of late, with the addition of Woods, Hexed, and Gotham By Midnight. I'm so far behind on a lot of these, though. It's crazy how quickly my reading list piled up, but I've also been trying to finish the Sword of Ice and Fire novels before the new season starts again. THE_James_Champ
Chew, Nailbiter, The Woods, Jupiter's Legacy....love all of these. Hooked on Hickman's Avengers as well.
bluedeni
I read Image the most and then Marvel. I used to read a lot of DC and now I read the least from them. I have no idea what they thinking with frat boy Superman and X-Force Wonder Woman.
