diabretic
Awesome. I'm thinking about buying a tablet just for downloading and reading comics. I already have Preacher, Foolkiller, the new 52 Batman, the killing joke, and a couple of Deadpool story arcs downloaded.
THE_James_Champ
It's SO damn heavy. I really like the Killers arc too, pretty excited for the next one. I need to get caught up, but my local shop closed

sacredheart
The only issue I have with reading comics on my kindle is with Hickman's CO stuff. His page layouts arent always the most conducive to tablets because he likes to play with the design of the page. Besides that, I love having a tablet for comics. Comixology runs great sales that make me pick up things Im interested in but not wanting to pay full price for. I'd also argue to stay away from Preacher until you are more into the comic world. The art is at times pretty bad, and the fact that the writer is British but writing a Texan comes off pretty clear.
jonnystorm777
I love reading my comics on my Galaxy Tablet. Very easy to use and awesome to read in low light. I have been loving the Avengers series right now and the Death of Wolverine series.
stl_ben
I still say: Reading comics on a tablet is like listening to music on an iPod. It works, and it's convenient.....but I prefer issues / records for full quality.
sacredheart
I still say: Reading comics on a tablet is like listening to music on an iPod. It works, and it's convenient.....but I prefer issues / records for full quality. To go with your analogy, I use my ipod for stuff I want to listen to in my car/stuff I dont care to get on lp. I'm not going to hunt down a copy of Coheed's IKSSE cause it is nostalgic to me and I enjoy to listen to it once every two years, so it is great to have on my ipod. Same goes for getting certain trades. Batman Hush is good, but far from great, it is like a greatest hits of Batman. I dont read it all that often, so Id rather have it on a tablet, where it can be cheaper to get, not take up shelf space/weight when I move. stl_ben
Yeah don't get me wrong I read stuff digitally too. I have a Marvel Unlimited subscription to keep up with their stuff because I like to know whats going on...but don't like it enough to buy everything they make (I was a Marvel Zombie once). And I have trades of stuff that I want to be able to let friends read (because I am not letting them borrow my original copies of Saga!) but most of the great Image books coming out ....it's all about the single issues! I mean read the trade of Sex Criminals and then try the single issues....let me know which one is better!
Breezus
I own all Asterix comics except for the two most recent issues, I loved them as a kid but I haven't touched them in years. I've read very few Marvel or DC comics, I may grab a few issues in the future just for the hell of it. Oh, and Scott Pilgrim is perfection. diabretic
This is awesome. We have a really awesome comic shop here, so with all the new stuff I am going to give them all my business, but like they've said on here. Some of this is just going to be much easier to read digitally.
Rip
Batman: Vampire might be my favorite Batman story of all-time. Yeah it's an "Elseworld," but goddamn is it so good.

kurtz
I heard bad things about that run on Swamp Thing and I really don't want to believe it. I do love Jason though, I haven't gotten to Low Moon yet but I'm sure it'll be as consistent as his other work. Low Moon was solid, as all of Jason's books are. Vaughan's Swamp Thing was ok. It's all Tefe. Swamp Thing barely appears in the series at all. I liked the first TPB a lot. The second TPB was not bad. Ending seemed rushed with lots of loose ends and undeveloped plotlines. Overall, not a bad series, but the abrupt ending makes it kinda disappointing.
batman
i'm at my favorite comic shop yesterday, looking at his "high-end" comics in the glass case in the back. next to a complete run of watchmen, he's got a copy of 'batman adventures' that looks really familiar. so I ask him what the story is. issue #12--first comic appearance of Harley Quinn. sells for $300 at minimum up to $800+ depending on condition. the shop's located in Houston, and I had plans for last night, so I didn't make it home until about midnight. first thing I did when I got home was pull out my comic box from the back of my closet. go to the 'batman adventures' tab. flipping through 1... 2... 4.... 8...... 11............ AND #12. and it's in great shape--no flaws that I can tell. I think I bought the whole run on ebay about 5 years ago for $40. i'm pretty stoked about it. i'm obviously not going to do anything with it right now, but who knows what it may be worth someday... I'm sure it will go up in the near future since Harley Quinn is bound to become more popular with Suicide Squad coming out. diabretic
diabretic
Still on board with Squirrel Girl, Ant-Man and Star Wars. Picked up Divinity #1, They're Not Like Us #1 and 2, and bitch planet 1 and 2 as well. There's so much to read, and so little time!

jonnywreck
As much as I wanna keep up with Marvel titles, they just put out way too much shit, and way too often, for me to even bother. That Original Sin event was my first big foray into crossover stuff, and that just wore me out. Looking at the Star Wars stuff is making my head spin, and then I saw that Ant-Man had a damn spin-off already. That said, I will be picking up that last She-Hulk issue and shake my fist at the sky, cursing the comic gods for murdering such a good book.
