thishoax2live4
Everybody has at least 5 records they want more than anything... Doesn't it feel good to finally get those? What's the most you'd ever pay/have paid to get one crossed off your list?
flood
well seeing as two of my biggest wants required me to spend 10 years hassling the band to doa reunion show, and letting me repress the records.. i'd say 10 years of billable hours, and $5,500.

mclz
The only record that I want more than anything is the Rancid - I'm Not The Only One test pressing on clear blue vinyl which I know I will never own. There are only /5 and one was on ebay and went for almost $500.
daegor
Most records of my serious want list I'd never be willing to pay more than $100 for (and even then it better be pretty fucking rare). ONE LP... Argyle Park's Misguided I once offered someone $500 for (he declined). There was only ever a test pressing of three copies. SweetJerryWine
I don't know if there's many things on my list that I'd drop THAT much on. I'd probably pay a bit for the Blindside self titled. And there aren't really any tests I'd go crazy for. I already own the Showbread test and that's the only thing I would have splurged on, but didn't have to. astrangerwithcandy
paid $100 for a test and that was the most I'm willing to spend on something.
morfiend
I paid $300 for a test pressing once, that's the highest I'll ever go. It was expensive but seeing that they're my favorite band and only 5 copies exist, it was worth it.
One Hundred Fifty-Two
Pretty much all the items on my really want list are $100+ records.
Guest
well now that the first paramore albums getting repressed, i can cross that off my expensive want list. the only 2 albums i could imagine spending over $100 on would be aof - icky mettle and built to spill - nothing wrong with love
maxxxg
I would definitely pay for original alkaline trio pressings. - goddamnit, the sundials 7", I lied my face off, maybe i'll catch fire. One day...

burntwolf
i paid close to $200 for my face to face don't turn away on purple marble (dr. strange). and i paid an obscene amount for misfits 12 hits from hell (legit) cd. but i've also gotten obscene amounts for some records, so it all evens out. plasma36
I crossed off a huge want today as well. The most expensive album that I can actually afford is Boris's "Pink." Test presses don't do anything for me and there's not a whole lot of really really expensive albums that I really really want.
idreamofpunk
The most I've paid is in the $250-275 dollar range for the white Senor and the Queen 2x7", and the black sink or swim LP, respectively. Right now, I'm not sure what I would put in that sort of company, aside from gaslight anthem tests (which I was able to snag one for the tumblin' dice 7"). papermonsters
I paid like 65 for Through Being Cool on white. I doubt I'll ever pay more for a record.
jcamps
$65 is my highest too, I'm cheap enough to not buy something even if the desire to own is killing me.
RustyShackelford
The highest on my list was Lillingtons death by television. And I finally got that for a steal
somethingvinyl
I think $45 PPD was the most I ever spent on a single record (and it was a 10" EP). I've definitely spent $30-40, ten-fifteen times. I'll never pay outrageous prices because for the most part, I've always seen stuff come around for reasonable prices. I would like to own something ridiculously rare and collectible like this: http://www.popsike.com/MILES-DAVISKIND-OF-BLUEMINT-MONO-WHITE-LABEL-PROMO-LP/140166517039.html
seamoney
I spent $42 each for my oop Fall Out Boy records. Other than those, I would throw down mad cash for a copy of The Fall of Troy's Doppelgänger.
