RustyShackelford
Lines, lines, and some really overpriced vinyl. Seriously. I love Jack White but he did sell a record for $100 and there was a line for it.
kylebutcher5
Thanks! I'm going to Nashville to support a friend running a half-marathon, and my dad is coming. He's the one with a much larger checkbook. Hoping there will be another triple-decker or something wayyy cooler. I'm a Jack White fanboy

BuzzersonKillwell
I don't mind the waiting. I've never done it for this, but same idea. Usually it is pretty fun. But Third Man only sells Third Man right? So if you do RSD there, you miss everything that isn't TMR, right?
kylebutcher5
Well TMR has, in the past, released special in-store exclusives for RSD. So I'd go for those, and buy all the other RSD releases for a few extra bucks
vinylmaus
Does anyone know how limited "Elephant" on RSD will be? There's no quantity listed on the RSD pdf. Is it safe to assume the quantity is at 10k+?
jvphotoandvideo
Does anyone know how limited "Elephant" on RSD will be? There's no quantity listed on the RSD pdf. Is it safe to assume the quantity is at 10k+? High enough for it not to be profitable on eBay but still low enough for it to be a pain in the ass to get on RSD. casinonightzone
new Pokey LaFarge album announced to be released on June 1st... Third Man Records is happy to announce a new partnership with one of our favorite musicians out there working today, Pokey LaFarge. Pokey and his band bring a focus and energy to the American Roots genre with infectious original material that sits at the crossroads of early jazz, country blues and western swing. With his effortless charisma and distinctive charm, Pokey has crafted a genre all his own--and one that extends well beyond the music alone. Summertime is the right time for Pokey's sun-blessed riverboat style, and this June will mark our release of his next full length LP / CD titled simply Pokey LaFarge (produced by Old Crow Medicine Show frontman Ketch Secor). Look out for a single from the album, "Central Time", which will be released ahead of the full length in May. To celebrate (we love to celebrate), we'll be hosting Pokey and his band here at Third Man in our Blue Room live venue for a record release party / direct to acetate recording session on June 1st. apirk
Nice, hopefully a St Louis store gets the variant again.
MD82
Oh yeah. For sure. You just have to commit to a TMR only RSD haul. Little bit of a bummer. Precisely why I'll be at Grimey's instead. Some great local performances, beer, food trucks, and access to all the RSD releases.

anhonyx2b
I dont own too many third man records but on my recent trip to Nashville I visited the store. It was a real cool experience. They have a machine in there that makes a wax guitar. Photo booth etc. I was dissapointed with the size and merch of the store but I was still over joyed to be there. MD82
Grimeys is badass, be careful around 3rd man.. really rough area You don't get out much, do you? I know it's all relative (I recently moved from Brooklyn to Nashville) but classifying the area as "really rough" is kind of ridiculous. There's some kind of a center across the street and medium-sized groups of people outside as a result, but nothing to warrant instilling fear in someone who's never been. russtcb
I'm from just north of downtown Detroit so I should be ok, but I appreciate the heads up nonetheless. I'm beside myself excited to hit up both places!
Youinreverse
I read a great article the other day showcasing the record collection of Ben Blackwell, who works for TMR. http://www.dustandgrooves.com/ben-blackwell-third-man-records-nashville-tn/ Oh, how I long for some of those records...
