Grabbed:

DFA1979

Cursive

Botch

Electric Anthology Project

Bronx Split

Also on a whim grabbed Alabama Shakes LP because it was hand-numbered and looked interesting. Turns out its worth quite a bit more than the $14 I paid. Not a RSD release but probably best value I got today.

Quite a bit more. Nice grab

For me:

DFA1979

Cursive - Burst and Bloom

Beach House - Lazuli 7"

For my lady:

Tallest Man on Earth - King of Spain.

Wanted, but didn't get:

Refused

Jimmy Fallon - Tebowie 7"

David Bowie - Starman pic disc

Anyone find an extra copy of Tebowie? I want one.

I know you probably don't want to pay the ebay prices but there are a bunch up on there already. Give it a few days and I bet that'll come down on price. They made 3500 of them.

I definitely looked and was trying to avoid the eBay prices. It's a novelty thing and I'm sure I'll be able to snag it for cheap later. I guess I just got caught up in the hype.

How much was that The Tallest man on Earth record? I wanted it, but 17$ + taxes for 3 songs was too much for me.

$14.99. It's 3 songs, which may seem ridiculous, but I justified it in my mind because I was purchasing it for the lady friend.

I posted this in the RSD help thread but I'll leave it here too in case anyone missed it

Ok my local store has beach house, crosses, stray light, st vincent, empire records, sigor ros, pretty in pink, anberlin & misfits. I can head over tomorrow and grab whatever. Willing to grab for anyone in a trade for the wilco box set. If there's a (likely) difference in cost I'll pay the difference.

EDIT: Also looking for Minus the Bear, Pharcyde, fun., refused

Online:

DFA1979, You're A Woman, I'm A Machine

(priority # fucking1!!)

Shop:

Mastodon/Flaming Lips 7''

Feistodon 7''

Various- Smugglers Way (Domino Records, 5xFlexidisk 7'' + zine)

Sigur Ros- Ekki Mukk 10''

Aretha Franklin/Otis Redding- Respect (Brown) 7''

Refused- SOPTC 2xLP (clear)

Refused- STFTFOD LP (white)

Highlight of my day:

My lady's uncle owns my favorite record shop in town and I've been kissing ass to get a job there since I moved here. As I was about to head out, he introduced me to some of his coworkers as ''a guy you'll be working with soon''. So subtle that I almost didn't get what he was talking about. Then the happy dance kicked in. STOKED

checked the shop to see what was left. New Noise Anthology staring me in the face. pumped about that

also tracked down the St.Vincent 7'' from a Norwegian online seller for retail price.

www.thegarden.no

check it out if you feel like paying overseas shipping. they also have copies of Kvelertak, Grizzly Bear- Yellow House and other records that are become harder to find stateside.

went and picked up my copy of burst and bloom today.

the differences are crazy!

new artwork, songs split to both sides instead of all on one, and put up to 45rpm.

it sounds pretty great, too. i can only assume better than the original, tho i don't have one to compare it to.

i also got a decent amount of black in the color mix, considering how little most people have gotten.

a proper release from saddle creek, as usual.

now someone sell me a copy of sucker and dry so i can 100% my cursive collection.

So here's my list:

Anberlin - Blueprints for the Black Market

Anberlin - Never Take Friendships Personal

Lemuria - 7"

Now, Now / The Lonely Forest - Split 7"

Taking Back Sunday - We Play Songs (Fingerprints Exclusive Orange Variant)

And just for fun..

The White Stripes - White Blood Cells

Now if I can just get my hands on that Mae release, this will be a successful Record Store Day story.
