sorry, i wasn't trying to be a dick. i just don't get it. but even if there was some strange reason the band/label decided to only put a lyric insert in the hot topic version (as opposed to the version on their website), i highly doubt travis would even know about it, as he didn't commission this release like he did the thrice and thursday reissue. he's just getting them put in stores.

Got my copy of the changing of times in today sounds great. i do wish it had an insert but i'm just glad to have it, one of my favorite albums. Didn't pick up TOCS, glad i held onto my original i love 10 friends.. the more i think about it the more i wish they used the j bannon art for the repress.

I listened to The Changing of Times tonight. A few thoughts:

The record sounds good, even though seeing "audiophile collector's edition" all over is stupid. Special edition records in the 70's weren't actually special. They were gimicky as hell.

Aaron's drumming on this record was so good. I've forgotten his talents. I think there are places that just sound incredibly complex and then it's really accessible at times too.

I can see the appeal of adding that keyboard on this record. I still love TOCS, but at the time, I thought they were trying to be more attention-seeking. It's nice to hear these records back to back and see the changes that I overlooked at the time.

this makes sense. i didnt mean to be rude but its hard to hear tone through the internet. im still learning new things about the vinyl community and the ins and outs. i know sometimes i may ask questions that have a logical answer but im still learning how things work. thank you for explaining, it does seem like common sense.
