dreamover
It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipstersAnd make fun of our exes, ah ah, ah ah.It feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnightTo fall in love with strangers, ah ah, ah ah.Yeah,We're happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same timeIt's miserable and magical, oh, yeahTonight's the night when we forget about the deadlinesIt's timeUh oh!I don't know about youBut I'm feeling 22Everything will be alrightIf you keep me next to youYou don't know about meBut I'll bet you want toEverything will be alrightIf we just keep dancing like we're2222It seems like one of those nights,This place is too crowded.Too many cool kids, ah ah, ah ah (who's Taylor Swift anyway, ew?)It seems like one of those nights,We ditch the whole scene and end up dreamingInstead of sleeping. Wow. I never cared to look up the lyrics to her music, but after that annoying diet coke commercial i got curious. You guys relate to this or something? This is crap. mrrom92

Red isn't the best example of her songwriting, I will admit, but it will definately get radio play. Speak Now, to me, was her best lyrical album and most of it is in the songs that would never even graze the radio (but also sound very country sounding). russtcb
Some people are just too overly concerned about what music other people like and enjoy. This. I often click on threads here thinking there will be information about a certain album or pressing or something only to find 2-3 pages of people ridiculing others for what they listen to. dreamover
Some people are just too overly concerned about what music other people like and enjoy. i don't know that that's true. i just happened to see that diet coke commercial 1000 times and couldn't believe those were the real lyrics, so i looked them up. I didn't care for her before, but now I truly don't get it and wanted to discuss on the taylor swift thread on my favorite board.
nardes
how do males like this Taylor Swift? You enjoy listening to a girl complain about ex boyfriends all the time? listen to her album Speak Now... there's so much lyrical depth. Yes, most are about love but the way she describes things and can translate it is incredible! Listen to Enchanted, Haunted, and Back to December and you will see how great her music is! Once she gets away from her "young boy-crazy blonde" stereotype people will realize she can craft a beautiful song. Red is very much a fun sounding pop album, but even if you listen to some of those songs they are beautifully crafted!
jhulud
Sometimes a little mindless pop music never hurt anyone. I may be all hardcore punk metalhead down to the core (pun intended) but I'll admit that I can get suckered in by a good pop song or album. And like it. No shame. beta114
