steventangent
I might go for Jackie Brown. Really bummed I missed The Shining recently. Fun fact - it's also where Evil Dead premiered.
thebiglebowski
Yeah that is an interesting one too. I don't really feel a need to meet Pam Grier though and it's pretty expensive ($50)
thebiglebowski
I saw "the man with the screaming brain" at the royal oak theater and met Bruce Campbell about 5 years ago. Movie is god awful (believe its sci-fi channel movie. Getting his second book signed was cool.
steventangent
I think it's only $5 if you don't want to meet Pam Grier.
radiatorhums
Watched Kick-Ass 2 last night. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would considering I didn't really care for the first movie or the second set of books. I must have been in the right mood for it or something. I doubt I'd watch it again, but I don't regret taking the time to watch it once.
ronniegwilliams
Watched The Wolverine last night. Though I loved the first one, this was incredibly cheesy and super predictable. I can't believe there are talks of a third installment.

valve
Synecdoche New York. This was truly incredible. I am pretty surprised it didn't at least get an Academy nomination for best picture. batman

steventangent
Charlie Kaufman and Philip Seymour Hoffman. I would have expected nothing less.
kyacrash
The Wolverine sucked pretty bad. Origins Wolverine sucked pretty bad also, but I found it more entertaining. Cheesier for sure, but it had enough to keep my attention. "The Wolverine" should've been called "Wolverine vs. Ninjas" because that's basically all it was. X-Men future/past whatever the fuck it's called looks pretty rad though. Also if you missed it there is an alternate ending of The Wolverine which features the classic yellow/black suit. pretty cool: http://www.comicbooktherapy.com/the-wolverine-alternate-ending-features-a-classic-costume-168482
thebiglebowski
X-Men first class was really, really good -- right up there with the best superhero movies of all time (except for the Nolan Batman movies, which trump everything). Excited for the new one.

Bladewillisisdead
one of my all-time favorites. brilliant movie. its so depressing though. Yeah, Synecdoche New York is some serious "Top 5" shit. It manages to blow me away (and depress the hell out of me) no matter how many times I watch it. batman and valve
Rip
Watched Jug Face tonight. A cool little creepy film. One of the main reasons I wanted to see it is because the dad and daughter from The Woman are in it. They were both fantastic and I loved it. ronniegwilliams
Maybe the first Wolverine just came out at the right time for me and I overlooked any sort of cheesiness it had, unfortunately the second could not be overlooked. Though I have been revisiting all of my old Wolverine comic books, which is pretty rad. I don't want to hunt down the comic book thread enough to post that. radiatorhums
About to start The Worlds End Nice! I'm planning on watching that tonight or tomorrow. I'm trying to decide if I want to take on the whole trilogy. I watched The To Do List last night. It was entertaining and it made me laugh, but it was fairly forgettable. It was a good 'drink some beer and shut off my brain' movie.

vialister
I wasn't expecting that ending at all. Same. I didn't read up on it or anything so I wasn't expecting the "toilet scene" at all
mitch.
I finally watched Clerks. I thought it was great, absolutely lost it when Randal is on the phone going through all the porno titles he wants.

I only watched Clerks a few months ago - which is funny because I've seen just about every other Kevin Smith movie 30 times before that.
