zacaroo21
I couldn't possibly agree with you more. Grilled cheeses are serious business. Wicked serious.

zacaroo21
dont forget the butta Butter isn't really an ingredient, so to speak. More or less an accelerant on giving your bread golden toastedness. However, with that said, you won't catch me making one without butter
jhook
I'm disappointed when people claim they've made a 'grilled cheese' and it has bacon or some pansy sliced pears and shit in it. That, my friends, is a melt. Grilled Cheese is purely a bread, cheeses, and maybe seasonings. I mean, it's called a tuna melt, not a grilled cheese with tuna.[/quote NAil ON HEAD

jhook
They opened a small stand in the food court in the local mall. It's called the "Cheesebox". They sell all sorts of grilled cheese concoctions. I can't bring myself to drop 5 bucks on a grill cheese tho.

bigbruise
Apologies for the huge picture, but it also shows some wonderful details. This is probably the only time I've taken a picture of my food. It's a sandwich from Tom and Chee. An amazing grilled cheese restaurant. The bun is a glazed donut, split in half and grilled. Turkey, bacon and some kind of weird awesome cheese. It was an experience.
seangj
I would call that a glazed turkey bacon melt. I agree that grilled cheese is purely cheese and butter. Anything else is a melt.

SpazzyMcGee
Whenever I receive applications from people moving here from another state, the first thing I look at is employment history. If there are a bunch of short term jobs in multiple states, that makes it seem like they are bouncing around and may not stick around for as long as they say they will. I usually give them the benefit of the doubt and check references though too. Also, I usually hire for summer seasonal work. Nice, good to know!
