He was mayor for 28 years, but resigned in the summer because the local news paper was being mean to him (nothing to do with all the corruption and problems he caused in the city). He is a goof ball. His major issue was he knew our sewer system was bad for 20 years, and never took grant money to replace it. Now the EPA is not giving out grants and is forcing the city to do a $1.4 billion overhaul of the sewer system, which the tax payers have to pay. Our bills are expected to increase close to 200-500% by the time it's done. My bill is already 90% EPA fees that are over $50/month. This ice town thing sounds interesting.
