Thom Yorkified
First band I was ever in the pit for. Really bummed about this, to be honest. Pretty sure you have identical taste to me
taylo234
As much as I love MCR, I feel like their next album was going to be horrible anyway. I wasn't huge on the path they were going down with their last record. But, still a bummer. Curious what caused it.
firefoxUSSR
I just hope Helmet permanently breaks too. They had this flash of creativity when Page-Ghandi-Helmet was created, and I hold Size Matters in high regard (again because it was half Ghandi songs). Then they did Monochrome which was mostly good. Then they released this awful album (which I still have on LP). They need to quit forever. Possibly delete as much evidence of that last LP as possible. TheMoosen
I know right, it always comes in threes! this isnt a break up or anything but Tony of Motion City Soundtrack left the band a few days ago. That one sucked because he was a great drummer and MCS is my favorite band.

thedillon
Definitely bummed, was a big fan of black parade and never got to see them live!
Destabilised
As much as I love MCR's music, I only like their old stuff, Their new material got on my nerves so i'm secretly happy that they've broken up, They were trying to get blood out of stone with their new stuff and their old material needs to live on without them pumping out horrible tunes. Just my two cents.

Thom Yorkified
That was nice. I'm actually sad this band is no more. As much as they are "cheesy pop punk" the black parade will always be one of the most important albums in my life for various personal reasons. Sad to see these guys go. Guest
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rjdh4f Gerards post about why they broke up. Reads like a teenage girl trying to write a deep novel. Derek™, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, taylo234 and 1 other

taylo234
I think people are trying way too hard to not believe that they broke up.
ric
I think people are trying way too hard to not believe that they broke up. yeah... this thread amazed me how much people care about the broke up thing (I'm a fan of them as well). even people who pissed them off... just noticed they liked this band when the band has already gone. collectivemike
I'm completely indifferent to this at this point, but I do want to pop in here and mention in high school I used to rock my fucking face off to Three Cheers.
Ryan8765
I've seen some older interviews where Gerard discusses the future of the band. In regards to future albums, he mentions that the band tears down and destroys what made the previous material "good" in order to keep things fresh. So it got me thinking about how interesting it would be for them, or any band, to go as far as destroying the band in order to keep that mentality. I don't believe that is what they are actually doing, but I can understand how people can think that this isn't really the end of the band. I was looking forward to their new material too. I heard they had outfits all picked out and everything.
BigSeth
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they did something like that as a gimmick to hype a new release. I can just imagine some fans going ape-shit over that.
killerofjoy605
I honestly think this may be one of their crazy ass album concepts where they're taking playing as a different band to a whole new level. Edit: To prove I'm not in denial trying to hold onto the last strings of an ending band here is what I have to support the idea http://www.hulu.com/watch/390301
