JacobMckinley
Today i picked up the new Waxahatchee LP "Cerulean Salt". I took a chance on it because i was feeling semi adventurous at the record store and I liked the way the album art looked. I am happy to report that I find the record to be fantastic and this got me thinking. What records have you guys picked up on a whim/hunch and they turned out to be records you love? JacobMckinley
The first time i remember this paying off for me was in 2002, when Pete Yorn's "Music for the Morning After" was available at Circuit City for 4.99 in their up and coming artists section. Those were the days.

davidsaidno
Pinebender - Things Are About To Get Weird I had never even heard of the band before I found this at a used record store. Mainly picked it up because it was hand numbered. Finally spun it and found out it's was an amazing record. This album should get more praise. Guest johneedeformed
Brendan Rivera's LP I agree with this one. I bought the album only because I had seen the thread on these forums. Listened to one of the songs on his bandcamp and liked it. I guess that isn't exactly "blind" but I really enjoy the album! veggiecorecords

quotefortruth
Deftones - White Pony. The only deftones song I knew was the shitty single version of back in school and I just ignored the band after that. But all the hype over the album led me to buying it a couple of years ago. I was missing out for a long time!
