andrewlucas
Arg just noticed this myself. Did you have any luck with the wood glue? I've never tried that cleaning method before, but I have a number of old worthless records I can practice on before hitting up Act III. I'd rather not have to dick around waiting for a replacement to be sent internationally. Those that did ask for replacements, did you have to send your current copy back? Wood glue did not work. It seems to be pretty much embedded into it. I dont think there is any safe way to remove it. Merchdirect said that multiple people have this problem with act 3. They put my name on a waiting list and we have to wait until more get pressed. They never said anything about sending back the damaged ones. Not sure why they would even want them back. The lady from customer service who responded said that they'd send along a postage paid mailer thing so I can send my Act 3 back. Should be simple I don't imagine their postage paid mailers will be valid internationally, though I may be mistaken, I'll see what they say. Cheers for the replies. doomcreep
shit, i haven't even opened my act III yet. all this defect talk is making me nervous. Dammit. Same here. I guess I'll brave the waters and go check it out. I was planning on marathon-ing these tonight, too.
doomcreep
Shit, yeah my Act III a/b has a little bit. Doesn't seem to be as much as some of you are reporting but it looks like it'd be enough to affect play. The record sleeve is like fingerprint city already. I need to wear gloves with this mutha. Customguitars87
shit, i haven't even opened my act III yet. all this defect talk is making me nervous. Things could be worse. You could be the guy bidding $150+ on the bundle on Ebay and have a defective Act III inside. Which no one will exchange... jameswiersema and onwardempire
jameswiersema
Got both bundles today, both Act III have the glue stuff on both sides. Sent them an email. Also, this shipped Thursday media mail from NY and got to CA in 2 days. Insanely fast for media.

andrewlucas
By the way, I hate how much paper dust the sleeves leave behind. Picture sleeves are cool but shitty for that reason. jameswiersema
onwardempire
I wonder what the hell happened. Yep, that's the stuff jizzed all over mine also. Sent them an email with my pic attached. Hopefully hear back at the start of the week. It'll cost them a pretty penny to replace these internationally, but I've paid for a product so hopefully they'll get it remedied. I was gonna say the same thing. Looks like my bundle has dandruff. Between that, the glue, and how easily everything is left with fingerprints, I'm bummed but these are bitchy nitpicks I suppose. I emailed them about the glue as well. I'm sure they're swamped with that.
billya
180G bundle is completely sold out. And I assure you it's not shill bidding. I knew this would happen too. You can still buy all of them together for less than that outside of the bundle.
chamb117
my act III has passed the eye test. i'll have to spin it, but it looks like it may have escaped the jizz stains.
CardboardDoom
Well buttsoup. I just took a close look at my copies. Got that glue thing on the second LP in act III. I just sent them an email, I wanna get this taken care of now. Anyone know what the deal is if you got the 180g presses? Are they going to press more or replace with the standard? billya
BUT ARE THEY 180 GRAM? (Dumb.) According to the description on each Act's page, yes. Perhaps the page is wrong, perhaps I am an idiot, but that is what it says.

billya
Under "Add to Cart" does it not say 180 gram for you guys? I didn't check the drop down bar. That's still crazy. Edit: Just checked on my computer (I was on my phone before). I was wrong.
onwardempire
Received a reply from them this morning. They're in contact with the manufacturer about replacing these apparently. Lucky I'm not that fussed about Act III so I'm in no particular rush. Looking forward to giving it a chance whenever the replacement does turn up any-roads. RadDonut
Dangit. I already opened all of my 180 gram copies but didn't get a chance to really look at them. Crossing my fingers I don't have to deal with an exchange
Customguitars87
Quick bump...anyone hear back? Last I heard they were contacting the company for a repress possibility. I would love a working copy of the album I paid for....

I would love a working copy of the album I paid for.... Nothing since receiving the 'contacting company email'. I imagine it'll take a while for them to negotiate the repress, assuming the plant accepts responsibility it might go quicker, else the process will take longer, maybe 1-2 months as my uneducated guess. Perhaps someone on the boards who runs/negotiates with a pressing plant can give us their two cents on how long pressing errors take to rectify? RadDonut
Checked my Act III and it definitely has that jizzy stuff. I guess I'll email the label like everyone else has and see what they say.
