  1. Albums That Should Be Pressed on Vinyl

Please please please. I listened to it for the first time in a long time last year and for me I don't think it holds up as well as it once did, but it was a really cool concept pretty well executed. I'd love to see this on vinyl
  2. That'll be enough of that. We only shit on new people here at VC
  3. Funny, there are a couple reviews of the album floating out there and one specifically states the opposite--the first half is memorable while the second stumbles. I think you and I have somewhat similar taste though so I'm not completely let down now
  4. Rapture just played on BBC radio... yikes
  5. Albums you once wrote off

Me too. Just getting into it. Thanks, Scott and Scott.
  6. While it wouldn't be the end of the world for someone to give you a basic answer here, I would suggest that instead of waiting, if you have these questions to seek someone out in your area and build a personal relationship with them. A lot of people put off meeting with an adviser because they don't want to meet now when they're planning to do something in the future. Well, a lot of the time what ends up happening is that plans change a year from now and the meeting gets put of for another year, etc etc. Best time is always now. Most advisers advise for free (only making money off of the things you decide to do with your money), and this way helps you and them to build a rapport and trust between each other so that they can follow you through your decisions and make sure things are going well for you over a period of time instead of a one-time suggestion over the internet. Fact of the matter is is that it's tough to give you a definitive answer without knowing much more about you, your preferences and risk tolerance, and where the rest of your finances lie. That's what I told all my clients when I was an adviser, anyway. Hope this wasn't too soapboxy--just want things to work out well for ya, it's important.
  7. I thought about it, but at the end of the day black is black, transparent or not. This "acid" green is probably going to sound way cooler than it turns out to be, plus I assumed it's more than likely the color more people will buy just for the looks. Couldn't tell both jokes, so I had to pick. I guess ethereal just got the better liked half. Can't win 'em all!
  8. This thread is really going to be hilarious when all the acid greens inevitably come in as some underwhelming color
  9. Not the greatest song I've ever heard, but I really like it. Aaron doesn't bother me as much as I thought he would. His vocals sound like this is how Disambiguation would have sounded if he was still part of the band, which I like.
  10. Oh hell yes. I knew this was imminent. One of my favorite bands ever, I'm so excited. Although I did prefer Underoath more minus Aaron's vocals. The drumming on Disambiguation was really great as well.
  11. Confirmed in a Facebook post that the upcoming box set will just be the first three albums (on black vinyl with some extras), so I really don't understand why it didn't all go up at once. No big deal, though, just weird. "There's also a box set in the works. The box set will include the first 3 records, plus additional b-sides, demos, exclusives and expanded artwork. More than what is currently included in the separate vinyl packages. It will be all 180 gram black vinyl. More on that soon!"
  12. What video games have you been playing?

I was super excited for Colossus--been wanting to play it since reading about it in EGM like 13 years ago--but I am extremely disappointed. I was anticipating getting the platinum but as soon as I finished the story I shelved it. The camera and controls are way too frustrating to completely enjoy the game. Maybe I'll try it again in a year or so. Love the concept though.
  13. I was wondering why they didn't have a box or package option, this explains it. I wonder why it didn't just go up with everything else though. Oh well, better safe than sorry ordering these while I have the heads-up
  14. The represses of the first three albums just went up in stealth: https://www.dinealonestore.com/collections/wintersleep The colored variants are limited to just 150 apiece, so get on it before their social media accounts post about it! Otherwise, black vinyl doesn't seem to be limited and is 180g. All records come with a 7 inch of b-sides. Shipping absolutely sucks if you're in the USA.
