Plus, get them their own stuff when they're old enough. I got my daughter her first record player and set of her own records for her 4th birthday this year, just when she was starting to want to pull out the records and drop the needle in my system herself. They are set up in her play room so she can play her own music while she plays. She leaves my stuff alone and she wants to play with records she can do it with her own, plus she's learning to be careful with them (mostly).

Same here. Have always had my expedits on the ground around my daughter and never had a problem. Obviously I kept a close eye on her when she was as in my music room and tried to keep test presses higher up. I also bought a couple of crappy cheap records that I left out for her to play with to keep her from pulling anything off the shelf. It got her accustomed to records early and kept her from messing with the good stuff.

How about a refrigerator that plays vinyl when you open it, like the one in Popstar?

Good points. I may wait for reports on the quality of the RTS repress before deciding whether to go with that or the OP. As stated, the AAEA 45 rpm repress is one of the best sounding albums I have, so I can't imagine the new version being an improvement.

Thank God. I've been holding out for RTS, because I've never found one less than $150, so $35 doesn't sound too bad. Now need TDL.

Maybe nobody cares but me, but I hadn't seen this up yet. I think Marling's one of the best, most consistently interesting songwriters going. As far as I can tell, the only vinyl version is this "deluxe" version, which includes live versions of all the songs (and doesn't actually come out until October!). Not sure if anyone is still monitoring them, but it's worth shooting a message to both. I've gotten lucky once or twice contacting a record company, even one that doesn't appear to be active, and getting a leftover copy of something that's still lying around.

Anyone watching Travelers, the new sci-fi series from Brad Wright, who used to do Stargate? It's pretty well done if you can get past the fact that the premise makes no sense, though admittedly I'm only halfway done and maybe that is addressed at some point. I'm enjoying it.
