Haven't logged in here in ages. Came to post about the tour pressings but I see Scott did it already (thanks!) In regards to the cloudy clear. I admit it's a little foolish in retrospect. 3 things 1) its a different matrix. Original pressings look handwritten. This new press is the typed style. 2) if you hold them up together - there is a difference. Clear is straight up clear. 3) new press has a hype sticker saying cloudly clear / original press has zero hype sticker. There's always going to be people who foolishly try and sell a record for more than its "worth" - so if you're in the market for the original press on clear be sure to ask those details. - Jeremy

Find a rabbit hole. I had Vaporwave, I’m deep in vgm, old 60’s reggae is one. Cambodian psych rock has some compilations. It takes some digging. Light In The Attic is a great label for cultural traditional. I noticed I had no Smiths records. Surf rock? There’s a lot of different holes to fall down so I hope you find one, sometimes it can re-invigorate your purpose.

I have always preferred the forum format for this sort of thing vs. Reddit. I like posts being bumped to the top when new comments happen. And the vinyl subs are too big to really get to know people. I like that part of VC probably more than I like hearing about new releases. I use Reddit a lot for other hobbies and fandoms I am part of and can’t say I have formed any friendships or made any acquaintances in r/guitarpedals or whatever other ones I post in with a billion other people.

Maybe the minority here - but I love this forum as it is. And while it's a bummer when it's down, I really don't have interest to join discord (it feels to immediate and creates an unnecessary sense of urgency for me), or reddit (to overwhelming). But that's just me, and I'd do what I have to, to stay up with the releases wherever folks migrate to.

Funny enough...I recently joined Reddit just to putz around and see what I have been missing. And was toying with the idea of starting a Reddit community then. If enough people are keen on it, I will start it. Let me know.

I think dealsonvinyl.com might have made that thread obsolete but I'm not sure since idk how good its index is. It includes South of Reality, at least.
