Yeah I would be a little less interested if they re-recorded it. If they name it "Thrill Seeker 2.0" or whatever, fine. Other bands have done it like Dance Gavin Dance with Tree City Sessions.

When the T&N/SS catalog was sold, I believe, they kept the rights to ABR and Demon Hunter. I thought I read that somewhere.
 
As far as it being a re-recording, I was just going off fan comments I've seen. So take it with a grain of salt.
It has been 15 years, they could be doing something for it's anniversary. And this was originally pressed for RSD several years ago. Maybe they've seen a demand and this will be a more widespread release?

2015 was a great year on Warped. Saw Moose Blood as well, which apparently was their first show in the US. Caught the last 2/3 of the '68 set, Neck Deep, SF, Man Overboard, lots more. You can "Where's Waldo" me in most of the Main Stage YouTube recordings from that year.

Today in my search around YouTube an interview with Fronzilla came recommended to me on No Jumper. Both of those things are usually not in the list of things I enjoy,  but I clicked on it anyways. It went about how I'd expect at first, talking about how he just didn't want to fake be a Christian Metal band, how he's influenced by Hip Hop, etc. However then it took a turn I did not expect.

According to him, he had slowly grown close to Kevin Lymann and on the 2018 Vans Warped Tour he offered to let Fronz buy the Tour. Fronz says it was more than he had at the time so he had to turn it down. He also claims that for legal reason that he didn't go into, Warped wouldn't be able to come back for another 3 years (2023? a 5 year blackout?) . He also claims that perhaps one of the reason it ended so abruptly is because of social media. He claims that Lymann started using things like Twitter more seriously and reading criticisms in hopes of improving the tour. However, it ended up that Lymann was just reading negative tweets too much and thought he had more to improve.

Fronz is still hopeful that he can buy it and start it up in a few years.

Thoughts? I'd be a little old for Warped Tour at that point, but I'd  welcome it back. Do I want it controlled by Fronz? Not really. Hopefully Lymann could find someone else ha.

Can confirm this album is nasty! I'm on my like 6th listen in 16 hours and loving it more each time. Cleaned out my garage yesterday and it was a great album to push me along.
 
If I had to compare this to anything it would be like Diiv and Turnover having a love child. Leave Yourself has a heavy Diiv vibe and there are moments throughout that remind me of Turnover. The beginning of "Whatever" sounds like it was straight ripped from a Diiv song.
 
There are a few slower/softer moments on the album that are kind of ehh but not terrible. Like the song Silver.
 
All in all I'm super happy with it and I'm going to have to find me one of those nifty first presses that sold out.

I'd hope so. It's really good imo. But I think more copies are being flipped than what would be expected. Allowing 2 copies of each variant (there were 3 in the first press) per person was an idiotic move by the label when they initially pressed 1000. There were a lot of complaints about people not getting a copy since so many got flipped.

Anybody still on team Trump at this point would be fuckin dead to me too. Easy enough to screw up and “give him a chance” 4 years ago but people who are still with that guy at this point seem way more like the bad people to me.

$40 retail for a 2xlp gatefold is also beyond the line of acceptable, in my world.
 
The slow inevitable crawl from $25 2xLPs to $50 2xLPs is what will eventually pop the vinyl bubble and kill the hobby. Who has $50 to toss at a new record every time something you like drops, it's like the height of the CD madness in the 90s.

It's not even gatefold lol
