As someone who saw them tour behind A->B: Life, I can say with certainty that their live show is now more tame than in the past.  It was complete ruckus back in the day, with all members (expect their first bass player) going insanely nuts, moving and gyrating from one side of the stage to the other. 
 
That said, they are still really fantastic live... so I agree with encouraging others to check them out live.

This is a great suggestion.  Still holds up, IMO.  That said, it HIGHLY UNLIKELY you'll find it in the dollar bin.

This is the craziest thing I've read on the internet in a while. 
 
Obviously, to each their own.  But I'm surprised that anyone could be bored by this record.  Its probably my favorite of all his releases.
 
 
In other news, I saw him here in Oregon Saturday night.  And he ruled.  Played all the hits, and really upped the energy/volume level, even on his slow songs.  Some of the tracks were reinterpreted (especially the Love is Hell songs).  It was an awesome show from start to finish.

To the OP, aside from a limited release in Iceland, all the copies of this album were released on pink vinyl.  As Channing pointed out, Discogs.com is a great resource for answering questions about pressing information.

Dude, have you read my posts?  I make it perfectly clear that Newbury is a private company and that they are entitled to run their company however they want.  So I am not sure why you seem think think that I am bellyaching or whining.  And you can spend your money however you want.  You like the pretty colors?  Good for you.  Buy the over priced records.  I don't care.
 
I am just offering some cheaper alternatives for people who only care about the music on the wax disc, not the color of said disc.  And if you read a few pages back, some people have appreciated the links to buy those less expensive options as they may have not known they existed.  This is a board for people who like listening to music on vinyl... posting in this thread with cheaper options to the versions Newbury offers seems perfectly on topic.

No, but many sites who are selling the same music (albeit on black wax) do.
 
 
We all know that the cost of shipping a record via media mail is between $2.xx and $3.xx.  Charging $7.99 for shipping is a way Newbury can profit more for these sales.  They over charge for shipping, pay the USPS the actually shipping cost, and pocket the rest.  Its not illegal or immoral or anything, but its a practice that I don't want to support. 
 
Most sites that sell the same music (again, not on fancy colored wax) charge the actual shipping price (with maybe a very small amount added to cover the cost of the shipping materials).  I'd consider buying from them instead.
 
 
I'm not upset at Newbury, Kill Rock Stars, other labels that partner with Newbury, or anyone who buys these over priced releases.  I'm just sharing with other vinyl enthusiasts options to purchase the same music for a more affordable price.  
 
If you choose to buy from Newbury, I don't think you should be able to complain about the continual increase in vinyl record prices.  People who purchase these types of releases are contributing to businesses who are trying to make more and more money (which isn't in and of itself wrong).  Because of this, the prices will continue to rise as long as people pay those prices.
