  1. Thanks for everything YOU do for us! Absolutely the best.

Nothing but love for the Moose. Always done me right.  My order for this with them shipped just the other day.

    Backed. Bull Moose is great.

thanks for being the legit best

Thanks so much, all of you. I'm going sneak a little hint here, just for you. The big vinyl discount sale we usually have on Cyber Monday will begin on Sunday. Is there anything you've been looking at that always has been just a little too expensive? Maybe I can help you out. shhhhh

  2. Sounds like Judgment Day OST either got delayed or canceled altogether. BM, could you confirm??

My local shop also got a bunch (10+) copies of True Detective and High Fidelity, so my morning should be relatively stress-free on Friday.

I don't remember that ever being on any real list. I don't remember if it was even discussed. Could have been at one point.

  3. i really want that beach slang tape, but im gonna be outta town that weekend :( i'm going to sleepy hollow and when i went last year the record shops were slim pickins.

edit: just saw that bullmoose has this up for PO. gave it a shot. hopefully it ships.

No worries, buddy. Thanks for the heads up. I'll give Bull Moose a shot.

We aren't participating in CSD this year, but it appears that we will be able to get some of the Beach Slang cassettes next week. We hope to have one for each of you, so let's all keep our fingers crossed over the weekend.

  4. Are we positive that these Bullmoose ones are the "retail" editions on colored vinyl?

I haven't been following the variants too closely, but I'm guessing they are unless there is an indie exclusive variant or something like that.  They have solid customer service, you could email them if you're really determined to get whatever retail is.

    Thanks for the compliment, alli.

Calculating is "Halloween Orange," Ire Works is "electric blue," and Miss Machine is "coke bottle green." The colors kind of go along with colors on the covers. We'll have mockups on our site in a couple of minutes in case anybody wants to look.

  5. Up now at Bullmoose

Doesnt say how limited it is or that there is a limit on orders so it might be a decent sized run. They usually ask to limit to 1 order per customer if it is too limited.

As far as we know so far, it's a normal release. If we hear of a limited edition, we will inform the people who already preordered.

  6. Am I the only one whos card is having issues? For some reason I cant check out on your site. Is there a paypal option? Can I just paypal you directly... or...

So, I guess I'll just give you the money and I can take the shoes...

Sorry to hear the site is giving you a heard time. Thanks for having a sense of humor about it.

Payments are going through OK, so it's probably something at your bank's end. What to do about it depends on what error message you are getting. If the site tells you that your card is being declined, that's coming from your bank and could be related to the hold you mentioned earlier in the thread. Banks don't tell merchants why cards are declined, so you'd have to check with them to find out why.

If you're getting a message about the address not matching, the first thing to do is to double check your address. If it's not right, all you need to do is fix it and try again. Putting the apartment number in the wrong place can do it. Banks don't give us your address. They only tell us yes/no, so there's no way for us to check to see if it's similar or figure out if we have something backwards compared to what they are expecting. If it looks correct, you can try deleting the credit card and entering everything again. That has helped before.

If all else fails, you can email [email protected] and we will check the error log to figure out what to do.

Sorry again to hear that you can't get through.

  7. Does anyone know what version is going to record shops in the US?  Bullmoose is showing a limited edition "d" (which I'm assuming is short for deluxe) for preorder on their site now.  I'm assuming it's the coke bottle clear but hard to say.  Looks to be a buck cheaper and you can get free shipping.

Good guess. It is deluxe. The rest was cut off. We don't yet know what will be "deluxe" about that version. There also will be a non-deluxe version for $19.97. Both are 2LP and come with a download card. The price difference suggests that there will be a packaging difference in addition (or instead of) a different vinyl color. Let's see what we can find out.

    PRAISE BULLMOOSE

    ALL HAIL THE MOOSE!

Bullmoose has slowly become my favorite place to buy LP's from.

Aw...you're the best. What a nice thing to see before starting the weekend. Thanks so much!

That's what I assumed. I'm having trouble ordering from Bullmoose for some reason. It keeps saying my CC and address don't match.

Sorry to hear that. We just send off the address to your bank and they say yes or no. If what you gave us matches what's on your statement, you could try deleting the card from our system and then re-entering it. This happens occasionally and starting over usually seems to help. If it doesn't, please email [email protected] and we will try to diagnose the problem. Sorry again about this.

  9. I know that variants are usually kind of bullshit, sort of like using a glittery lure to catch a fish, but I'm still attracted enough to them to try and pick them up even though occasionally I am critical of myself for doing so.  The added layer of Susan G. Komen, however, just seems like bullshit overload to me.  Such a scammy nonprofit.  Are these releases actually affiliated with Komen, or are these artists legitimately trying to bring awareness/help to the issue?  Are some of the proceeds being donated?

The beneficiary is not Susan G Komen, it's Gilda's Club NYC, same as last year. This was organized by a friend of mine who works at RED Distribution. At least $1 from each sale will go to Gilda's Club NYC. Some bands are donating more. Last year almost $30,000 was raised and the hope is to raise even more this year.

These are getting wide release, so you should have no trouble finding them wherever you like to buy records. Bare bones info went out to stores the other day, so I think you'll see these pop up in more places. More details and corrections, such as the number of records in a each package will turn up. I doubt that these are being remastered, so if the black vinyl is a 2LP set, you can bet that the pink vinyl will be 2LP as well.

Pressing quantities haven't been announced yet. Let me know if anybody else has questions and I'll get the scoop.

    Chris

  10. Thanks for the answer man. I ordered the indie version from B.M. Missing out on the bootleg Southeastern is one of my bigger regrets the last few years in regards to records.

    Thank you for your order!

Too bad about Southeastern. I think future indie exclusives and bootlegs will be easier to come by than they were two years ago. They are more of a thing now, so it seems that quantities are increasing.
