ntslash got a reaction from davey in All-encompassing NINE INCH NAILS Thread: Reissues, New Stuff, Soundtracks, Kitchen Sink
The site is using a standard WordPress plugin called Maintenance Mode. I've used that plugin before when sites I was working on were getting ready to launch a new site or something like that. The plugin gives you the option to throw in a timer. They have the timer disabled. There's no way to tell from the source code when the timer will be activated and when it is set to end. At this point, they simply aren't using it.
Basically, there's nothing to see here at the moment.

ntslash got a reaction from psus2h in PO SOON: Jerry Cantrell - Degradation Trip 2LP Reissue
Really bummed it isn't the full album (as in volumes 1 + 2), but I'm definitely in for this. One of my favorite albums of the past 20 years.

ntslash got a reaction from BKO5950505 in [PO NOW] DREDG - Catch Without Arms
Goddammit, I am tired of people complaining about the cost of a record. I see people dropping $25 on two Budweisers at a concert. I see people dropping $5 a day on their stupid Starbucks shit. I see people dropping $50+ to drink at a bar every weekend. If you don't want to pay $25 for a great record, something you can listen to and enjoy again and again, then get the fuck out of vinyl collecting. Or just steal the mp3s. Jesus Christ.
And go ahead and downvote this all you want, but you know I'm right. Fucking $25. That's an hour of work for the average college grad.

Amoeba over Bullmoose any day.

ntslash got a reaction from Chuck Shivers in PO Now: Blind Melon - Soup - Reissue
It's only showing up as $29.99 for me on SRC: https://www.srcvinyl.com/blind-melon-soup-lp.html.
Ordered from SRC as soon as I saw it go up. I've never had an issue with them. Everything has arrived on time in perfect conditions. Bull Moose, on the other hand, has cancelled several of my preorders and sent me at least 5 damaged records. But hey, at least they always offer $3 or $4 back when I contact them about the damage.
Only reason I will ever order from Bull Moose again is to use my points.
All that being said, this is the most excited I've been for a reissue in a decade.

ntslash got a reaction from jeromium in Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
Am I the only one who put the records directly in the designated sleeves in the book? I've been able to put them in and take them out easily without any apparent degradation to the quality of the vinyl. Three listens in and my copy still sounds flawless. I can't detect a single pop or any other extraneous noise.
I'm somewhat tempted to put one of my white copies in the book instead and putting these records in the standard album jacket so it's easier to get out the superior records. But I also love looking at the artwork while I listen. Such tough decisions I'm forced to make in my life.

It sounds fantastic on my setup. It's remastered from the original analog tapes.

I got an orange Airhead. Disappointing flavor, but the album makes up for it.

ntslash got a reaction from Cpen5311 in PO: Red Hot ChilI Peppers - The Getaway
I'm enjoying this album quite a bit, and it sounds really good on my table (especially for 11 bucks!). I definitely prefer it to their last album. The bass really kicks ass.

That was virtual highway date, not street date.

Limiting this to 1000 doesn't seem like the socialist thing to do. Everyone should get one, right?
