I pretty much agree with all of that. If you are going to charge the increased price you have to  offer a quality product. When you charge 23 dollars plus shipping for a single LP with a flimsy cover and no insert (looking at you riding easy) you are going to lose customers, regardless of the band. 
 
I feel this genre always has its high costs (especially with so many releases as an import) so i doubt we will ever see them bottom out like crazy. If only it was like noise and experimental stuff is now where you can get stuff for pennies on the dollar compared to what they were going for 3-5 yeara ago.  Records i sold for 20-30 bucks back then im rebuying some i regretted unloading for like 3-5 bucks.

also call me crazy but i tend to want to own a record and care less about its limitedness.  I like how relapse will only charge a buck or two more if you want to get the most limited version they have, probably just to cover the extra cost of the one off color pressing. When a label like deathwish releases variants they do it the right way, same cost for all. Let the secondary market decide what a pressing is worth, not the label. When you do 15 colors of the same record and charge varying prices based on pressing but offer nothing extra of real value its going to just drive people away.

Its nice he is repressing stuff but it seems he is repressing things people dont really want (another repress of the new doctor doom record) or things that were supposed to be limited then got a repress (the ancient warlocks live record). 
 
maybe repress some of the really back catalogue stuff like brimestone coven or dopethrone would be smarter...

Glad I'm not the only one who is still a little bitter about that BS. I completely lost interest in the band after that stunt.

The new inter arma and big business are quite good. Missing big business this weekend to see john carpenter. 

That is kind of status quo for Modest Mouse.  They play the songs really well but they arent doing a whole lot on stage.  Time 3 for me seeing them and it was like that each time.   I agree the set was new albums heavy, but they played bukowski and that is my jam so i was excited. 
 
I felt like Brand New played FOREVER. playing 7 songs off of Devil and God I felt made the set really drag. i know people absolutely love that record and they have all but gravitated away from YFW stuff and most of Deja.  Have to fill a set somehow I suppose.  I wish they would have spread out the Deja stuff. Playing 3 from that album in a row made you realize there would be no more from it and they had half a set to go which was a bummer.  
 
It also seemed like alot of people left after Modest Mouse.  my group stayed in the same spot for both modest mouse and brand new and it really opened up during brand new.

This is wonderful. Have had the cd/mp3 of this for years and never could justify the high price tag for LP. We need more reissues like this in our lives. 

One of the records i bought last time was 17.99 before the 30%. Now its 34.99. Good luck with that go hastings. 
 
I dont think you can go less bankrupt so just offer reasonable prices..

For a company thats going under they sure are not offering great deals yet...

So your coming into a thread that has been around for years where no one has had an issue of putting comic spoilers into a spoiler tag.
