rcafilm reacted to RadDonut in PO Soon - Underoath - Voyeurist
Happy I’m not alone in this. I know it’s silly to complain about. I don’t care that bands curse, I also curse. It’s just a weird thing in a decent song and it just breaks the immersion of what’s happening.
At least change it up a bit and do a quick “fuck” or a shit or a damn. Idk just stop using fucking every other song and using it 3-4 times in one song. It’s just annoying me.

Glad this isn’t just me. I get it Spencer you are happy you can swear now. But all of the random F’s really take me out of the songs, and feel really out of place. Would be more enjoyable without.

There is a good chance, they've said before that they're not interested in keeping anything they've put out 'rare'. But that a big thing for them right now is the vinyl cost/delays. So I would bet it will be repressed someday, but not any time soon.

As excited as I am to finally hear this on wax... there are a few simple slam-dunk variants they could have done, and neither of these are quite it.

What they should've done, is have us all do a scavenger hunt at a music festival...

As per the Tooth & Nail/Solid State vinyl preview email, this will be available tomorrow morning. 1500 but they will probably go fast, 20 years makes people itchy.
"Design and packaging for this landmark release was supervised by Josh Scogin.
• The record features a brand new, complete audio remaster for the vinyl format by Troy Glessner at Spectre Studios.
• The original CD artwork was been restored and recreated one-layer-at-a-time, and features an additional, hidden, ghostly spot varnish glossy design on the “Bless the Martyr” cover.

Just popping in to let the community know they posted "Stay Tuned" with some sort of cryptic photo on Instagram. Carry on.

So now that were already off topic.
Aaron's voice, Yes, its different now. Not worse IMO but noticeably different.
I am pretty sure he smokes so that could be a factor overtime, as well as just normal body/throat change stuff. More than anything it seems to be like the way he 'accents' words, its a little less pronounced?
Also for the UO nerds, check this one out. (music starts at min 1:40)
You can literally compare some of Aarons singing from 2021 and 2002 hah

There's no way they're bothering to put up the fees to get these pressed and only doing a festival-exclusive run. I expect online variants eventually.
