I agree that the last album was craptacular, but it was 100% Carrie and Corin's fault.  The drums on this new song are really weak and Janet's absence is really obvious.

Personally don't need this reissue but that's typical, right?  Not that I really fault them – I'm sure that shipping a sturdy boxset isn't dead-cheap.
Did you pull the trigger?  I suspect a lot of retailers will be getting copies of this, probably for a bit cheaper if you cared to wait.  Hopefully it's the amended 2014 press, or the same plates from them.

My local store got these in last Friday (when I was picking up the Prince set).
Unless you absolutely need to buy the Mellon Collie box from the official site, copies are gonna be everywhere and plentiful for a while, at lower prices.
 

Totally agree. Fuck him for sure. That's not not true. But a lot of people deserve to paid for their work on an official release vs a bootleg. I don't think there's ever a reason to buy a bootleg. It's a fake record just sitting in your collection. But let's not forget, fuck billy corgan.

1. This doesn’t appear to be a bootleg, as it says Virgin for the label. 
2. If it is a bootleg, so long as the bootleggers aren’t using their platform (which is nowhere near the same platform Corgan has) to go on Alex Jones’ podcast, I feel better giving them money. 
3. Learn to not only read, but comprehend.

I really don't like how hard Kill Rock Stars are trying to cash in on this. Seems distasteful to me. 

I’m fine with his last few albums, his last great one though was Blues Funeral. Mark’s earned the right to do what he wants, the guy has made so many awesome albums and contributed to lots of other stellar projects over years. 

I'm so hugely disappointed in his last two albums, so I promised myself I would never buy any of his albums again.

Seems to also be available on Rollin Records, and potentially elsewhere. Got my copy this week, but have yet to spin it. Good packaging for an UO press, can comment on sound quality later as I plan on listening to it at some point this weekend.

I haven’t seen this anywhere else but this may be getting a repress.  I’m hoping for wider distro as this is pretty pricey and shipping from Japan, but the seller has 10+ copies.

So what exactly would you have them do in this scenario? Distribute the album for free after paying the full cost of manufacturing, without getting any of the pre-order money? Reimburse the fans out of their own pockets, after already getting fucked out of tens of thousands of dollars? 

Do y’all in this thread not know how to read or something? They paid the manufacturing costs for the album out of pocket and took pre orders through Pledge Music. When it was time for Pledge Music to pay them out for the pre orders, Pledge Music up and said “fuck you” and kept all the money. What are they supposed to do, give away the record for free??
