I have splatter records that sound better than some black records. The mastering method and quality of the vinyl is much more important than splatter or no splatter. Saying black sounds better than splatter is as elitist as the people who say vinyl sounds better than cds and play them on a crosley. very few of us have a set up to allow us to hear the difference. that being said, GZ records often have surface noise issues, splatter or not. just most splatter records come from GZ and most regular records do not.

i think its super lame they're doing the clear and clear gold again. it's dumb for them because less people will want them, and its dumb because there's a million other colors they could've done. but at the same time, who cares? eventually, every expensive record you bought will be worth nothing. if you're collecting variants, its not about having the music to listen to anymore, it's about having a physical collection. beanie babies lost value too.

just like a quarter pounder from mcdonalds is always .25 pounds, a 180 gram record always weighs 180 grams.

how could i enjoy music if i'm stuck on a fuckin island?
plus, if i ever get off the island, any music i listen to is just going to remind me of the horrible time i was stranded on that island.

I know some of you don't like to get political. But I just can't believe how short some of the republicans' memories are. This is a well written article. I'd be curious to see something similar after Obama and Biden speak at the DNC. But something is really off about this Paul Ryan guy. Him and Romney don't even align on a lot of issues. I really can't wait for the vice president debate.
