Things have been going really well for me lately and with my last few years' track record, that's kinda unprecedented. I think transitioning has been massively positive for my mental health and had a sort of cascading influence on other facets of my life. I saved four months of rent when covid cut my lease short and the semester went online (moved back in with my dad until next semester), and my new landlord said she won't start charging me for rent/deposit unless my university confirms they're going to be open in the fall. With the money I saved, I finally decided to upgrade my TT and cart after five goddamn years. Those should be arriving next week, and I'm incredibly excited.

the insert spells the album title wrong, like i get maybe having a typo in the lyrics but the biggest goddamn font across the entire spread literally says SUFFOACTING HALLUCINATION

Was about to ask if I could borrow it to do a rip and compare but then saw that you're also located in Germany...might not be worth the nearly $100 round-trip shipping haha

not that i care what pitchfork thinks but i was googling the album to see what the actual anniversary would be and saw their review of it for the first time, which is fucking awful. props to @scottheisel for recognizing perfection right out of the gate, on the other hand.

I'm almost certain that's just lazy mockup on their part. Zoomed out artwork is better anyway 😜

Having enjoyed the last one over the last two years, this one has quickly become my preference if only for all the production bells and whistles he layered in there this time

I like the variants we got, honestly it had been so long that I'd forgotten what the mockup was and just assumed it was aubergine & ice.
Echoing this sentiment--part of the reason I've been doing rips on all these is because they're so drastically improved. The AB reissue a few years ago for the anniversary tour (1LP) was confirmed to use a CD master as source material, so based on how different each 1LP and 2LP has sounded to my ears, I've been running on the assumption most of the 1LPs (at least the older albums) use CD masters slightly modified for the medium and the 2LPs are dedicated remasters with higher dynamic range from whatever best source is available.
