Without taking into account the work that it takes to pack all this stuff up. My wife is also assisting me and packing all this up, even though she is in constant pain. I appreciate all those that are being very patient with me while I ship everything out. I'm down to only three packages left.

This coming from the guu that was crying asking for people to sell him a copy. Sigh.

Lyrically speaking I hear quite a few duds on the first go.  But whether or not it has to do with me only exposing myself to Blood on the Sand (and subsequently setting the bar pretty low), I'm happy to say that I'm enjoying this album a lot more than I thought I would.  The energy, hooks, and brevity of the record make this feel like it's tailored for accessibility and easy replays, but that's not a bad thing.  I think it's more consistent than Major/Minor.  It doesn't hit as hard as Alchemy or Vheissu, but for what it is I think it's a great notch in Thrice's already-impressive belt of studio releases.

Figured I'd give you guys the heads up first. Since we're about to sell out of the Purple within the first 24hrs, I added another variant, Opaque Pink /200. This will ship at the same time as the other variants.

I never lied. He misunderstood my pms. I have a sick wife, as well as I am not of great health either, factoring in 100 mile commute everyday. I apologized for my tardiness. But kids today need everything right now. I'm not saying that be slow is good. But I always follow through. And in regards the feedback, I said, I'd rather he not leave me feedback, instead of neutral. He messaged me about leaving me neutral after I didn't leave him positive. I said I would do it now, he left neutral anyway. Since he didn't hold his half, I left neutral as well.
 
That being said, this forum is so disappointing. I have lost count of the people who were going to sell to me who backed out and the people that said were going to buy that didn't. I am going through a situation like that at the moment.
I had made a deal months ago for a Silversun Pickups colored boxset for a RSD Brand New DE. Well needless to say he received the package and I patiently waited and waited and when he said he was going to ship, I said, no worries, take your time. Well last week he tells me " im not going to trade the boxset for the Brand New DE. He kept reassuring me 'dont worry, we are going to trade'. I was heartbroken (grown ass man shouldnt be over a record but...) and I said I would try to get the money, since I wasn't prepared to pay for it. Here we are 4 days later, i made some sacrifices, got his money and he logs in everyday, but no answer to my pm.
This is just the recent one. This forum is (to quote lego batman) so dissapointing.
I know this is not the place to post this, but I needed to vent.

So you're putting a valuation on this vinyl of $40,000?
 

I tried to press this about five years ago. At first I was going to fund it myself, but when I realized it would need to be a double LP and how expensive licensing would be, I pitched doing a kickstarter to raise $2,500 (which is less than half), I would fund the rest. The band was for the pressing in general but their manager, after going back and forth, said no because it could be bad PR for the band if the kickstarter didn't reach its goal. I said they'd have no problem hitting it, then they said they're going to wait until the rights of the album divert to them in 2014 so they could do a proper remaster.  
 
Offer 400 copies for $100 each, there's your bad PR. 

There's probably not a lot in it but the Toshiba looks to have the better arm.
 
Your best bet if you can afford to get the Technics without selling the Toshiba and the Technics is at a good enough price is buy it, try it side by side with the Toshiba over a reasonable period, also try swapping the carts between the two as both have SME type bayonet fitting headshells and then sell the one you like the least.
 
Anyone else's opinion or experience of these two may well not meet with yours and it's unlikely someone has had the two at the same time to do back to back tests.

Awesome. They are really good live. The acoustic were not good at the venues so the vocals were a tad off, but nothing bad.
 
What really caught my attention was their bass player.
 
He has some really cool bass lines and plays bass like its a guitar. Very interesting for a shoegazy band.
