well that sucks. $30 is what this should have been priced to begin with anyway.

The MOV version doesn't have "Infinity" or "Precious and Grace". The latter being a ZZ Top cover with Billy Gibbons splitting vocal duties with Mark Lanegan and trading off guitar solos with Josh. That song alone was worth what I paid for the OG press haha.
 
Or you could try to find ZZ Top's Tres Hombres in the dollar bin and live with the non Mark & Josh original lol
 
Edit: Also, "Like a Drug" is up in the tracklist rather than tacked on the end like a bonus track.

Happy Hollow is actually my favorite Cursive record. 

I felt the exact same way. And if they pressed more than 500 I would have waited. But it is nostalgic and the translucent green variant is cool. 

There’s not a weak song on there, that’s for sure.  Culling Voices is maybe holding up the rear but there’s no denying how infectious that “don’t you dare point that at me” line is, again and again.  No moment quite like that on the album.  An aggressively fun song compared to some of the more sprawling epics.
 
Maynard’s voice and delivery choices were my weakest link on first listen.  At the same time it’s tough to fault the dude for sounding different and being eager to try new things after 14 years.  I never got into APC but I’ve read that comparison a good bit.  It just takes a little getting used-to, and then you’re set.
 
Isis with Chanellor subbing in like he does for Panopticon, maybe?  That’d be wild.

There WAS going to be a nice Classic Records 200 gram re-issue of Ænima right around 2000, but the company went out of business. 😣

I would much prefer simply all individual albums available for purchase individually because a boxing and compilation of them all in one package will make the cost cosmically overpriced. I hope AAA will happen for the first 3 releases but unfortunately there is a digital tape bounced mixing stage in the stereo master of the Lateralus. If they got really crazy and went back to the analog mutlitracks to remix to stereo tape then do the cut that would be amazing but I doubt we could count on something as great of an undertaking as that. I'm quite sure the same digital stage is present in 10,000 Days as well and I'm pretty sure I saw some photos in the mixing process showing a similar staging being done with digital on this new album. I wish they would keep it AAA. Its not hard and so many amazing records were done that way. Imagine a Tool album sounding as rich as a pre-2015 Led Zeppelin LP. 

I think at the end of this countdown we’re gonna have new album details but also vinyl reissues...

observations
shipping: i've batted 1.000 with amazon.com vinyl orders. but this will be the last time I order from amazon across the pond. how did it arrive? well close your eyes and picture the opening scene for Ace Ventura OR watch this video
 
 
vinyl sleeve quality: wish it was a gatefold, now that I think of it I wish all my vinyl were gatefold, no biggie though. one of the corners came a little bent
LPs - no damage! white is a good color
pressing quality: would give it an A-, overall pretty silent, not dead silent but VERY VERY GOOD.
audio quality: pretty bad ass
 
overall happy with the purchase!

Just got my copy in the mail today and spinning it now and it sounds great. Cut at 45 and the Intro, Lude and Chinese New Year are included. Not sure why they left the titles out of the tracklisting but none the less it’s amazing. Gatefold as well. 

USPS notification that it’s on the way. 

My US order shipped today and it appears that I'm getting a refund from the UK store so it seems it worked out in the end. 

Good luck! I would maybe let them know maybe what happened with your previous order so hopefully they can prevent that from happening again.

Apparently these are not gatefold, which normally always bothers me more than it should - especially on a 2xLP like this and the price point. 

This warms my heart to read.  Sorry you had to learn the hard way.  But we’ve all been there at least once — you’ve now been initiated into VC as a seasoned member, and completed a rite of passage.  Welcome aboard!
