FINALLY got my order in today. Broken, Fragile, TDS & NTAE. All jammed into one mailer. No bubblewrap or anything. The mailer itself is pretty beat, but somehow the worst I can see right now is a slight corner dig on Broken (which was sandwiched between Fragile and NTAE. no idea how Broken took the hit). dumb luck by the looks of it. *ok, I take it back. after unwrapping them I'm finding more damage than I thought. Not overly terrible, I've had way worse delivered, but still shitty for the price of these things (along with the other dumb design flaws of the covers/size/quality). :/

if its not FLAC (or WAV for me to convert), I don't bother and just torrent the FLAC version of what I bought. labels need to up their game, mp3 doesn't cut it anymore. doesn't have to be a 24bit download, but that's great too.

doing that ray bans commercial was a travesty, it's appalling to not have the integrity of classic metal bands like metallica, maiden, sabbath, megadeth etc. who would never dream of selling their music or slapping their name on random shit for money. what's next? deafheaven baby onesies? artwork on sneakers? truck commercial soundtracks?

I don't know anything about this band, I've seen the name around last year on "bands to watch" lists but never got around to checking them out. I totally get not wanting to support them in any form. But if you already own the album and actually enjoyed the music, will you actually throw out the album and/or never play it again? Where does the line between being a shitty person and art get drawn? are exceptions only made for old established bands? we all know that Lennon was abusive, Clapton was a racist, and countless classic rock guys fucked 13 year olds but they've all been given a pass musically. In a year or so (really, give it 3-4 months) when this settles down and everyone forgets, is the music that was produced prior to the allegations that tainted?

So. Weird. I ordered from bandcamp, they didn't charge me shipping. Get home today, and found that they sent me TWO copies (both puss). And not like two in a package, they sent two totally separate packages, both totally legit boxes entirely wrapped in that paper tape w/string inside (took forever to cut through), and foam core boards on either side of the 7" for protection. For $10USD to Vancouver Canada. Prob the best packed record I've ever been sent. Not much for strange extras, just a postcard for a recording studio in one.

weird. ordered the 7" from bandcamp, and there was no shipping cost. to canada. this is the second bandcamp order this week that didn't charge shipping. maybe something is broken?

he prob means one of these: my family had a couple turntables that did that growing up. no idea if there's a company that still makes them that isn't crosley or similar, I'm pretty sure that it's really bad for the records (dropping them, changing the angle of the needle as the height increases, etc.)

my box + theory arrived today, excellent packaging, everything looks great, haven't had a chance to spin either yet though. Question about the box set: I've seen references to the box set being "sealed", numbering and there's a red ribbon in the pics posted... the only things sealed on mine are the DVD and CD, no ribbon, no numbering I can find. Were the show copies slightly different than the online copies or something? Doesn't bother me, I bought these to play, not hoard and leave sealed. just curious.

yeah, I'm pretty hyped when I saw this this afternoon, but wasn't sure what the release would be so I didn't post anything. I'm guessing it's just going to be a single but it would be awesome if it were more and/or had a physical release
