  1. Listened to the first half today. I'm having a hard time getting past all the digital glitches and dropouts. It didn't really work on Swallowing IMO, and it just got worse on the other tracks.
  2. Also, I saw Don Cherry - Cherry Jam and thought WTF thankfully I was wrong
  3. Archers of Loaf is doing a 7" for their new single. Not a massive fan of the track but I'm going to need to get it for The Hobby.
  4. excited to get my hands on this, I've repeatedly talked myself out of spanish pressing with Clinton on the cover (which would still be cool to have but too $$$ for me). the is one of my all-time favourite albums from that era and solid front to back (Harvey Danger's WHATMMG? is my other essential mid-90s seattle rock record that I thankfully have a vinyl copy of), its so weird to me that it's slept on and people don't understand how great a record it is, only having heard Peaches and maybe Lump when I talk about it.
  5. Not 90s (it's from 88), but sometime last year Lisa Lougheed's Evergreen Nights has a small repress that's still available and reasonably priced ($17CAD). https://returntoanalogrecords.com/products/lisa-lougheed-evergreen-nights Best known for the track Run With Us, the album is made of tracks written for and inspired by the show The Raccoons. The OG pressing was my grail for a very long time, hard to come by and expensive so I was really happy to find this came out. The cover art is a little blown out but it sounds fairly good (better than the cassette mp3 rips I had), the only letdown is Return to Analog doesn't have the rights for digital distribution so there's no download code and it's not on any streaming services.
  6. the new track is actually pretty good. I hope that's a good sign because everything else she's released recently suuuuuuuucks.
  7. There are a few parts here and there that are kinda ok, but there's too much straight forward rock, Dennis really should NOT sing, and I swear that there's a track that just recycles the main riff of New Noise, but I don't feel like relistening to the album to confirm it. also if you want real cringe, watch the video loops for each track on spotify. so. bad.
  8. automated realtime EQing and mastering while cutting $10 10" blanks. I'm sure this will not be terrible. https://www.engadget.com/2019/10/14/phonocut-vinyl-records/?utm_campaign=homepage&utm_medium=internal&utm_source=dl&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZW5nYWRnZXQuY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAKU_Q2RTYq2HmiaxOHxOh4-OfOdpGfHBPnNeQ-ayIKa4lMIcZqdgjnoK7F5sefUlxoC7B4n1APD1QeXXI1U1r7ZV8i9URLSujsJm8pj7o_oAaDBmc7qqWf6dcu5zkwlGoba-6Q5edrHj_y9wrSzomvbAgoAM2QD3RaVcZ82MN8eW
  9. Got my ticket for the tour, but a little annoyed they're hitting Vancouver without Health. That would have been insane.
  10. There's a movie about this called the Road to Wellville. Anthony Hopkins as Kellogg, also has John Cusack, Mathew Broderick and Dana Carvey. I don't really remember anything about it except that was where I learned what an enema was.
  11. Hey guys! After much positive feedback we've realized that you sometimes need to polish your vinyl record discs on the go too! Listening to records while commuting is always the best option for quality vintage sound, but it can attract dirt like exhaust and snack crumbs, which is no good! To fix that, we'll shortly launch a second campaign for a handheld vinyl record polisher to take with you, so you'll always be able to see yourself in your vinyl records discs! Stay tuned!
  12. Yeah, when she was tweeting about doing a track with Underoath, I was expecting something with guitars or sounding SOMETHING like the band, but it was pretty weak. I'll wait to hear the other tracks before writing off the EP entirely, most of her releases only have a few strong tracks really. Past releases sold out pretty quick I think so I took the risk of buying.

  14. thankfully blue is still up on bandcamp. sold out on their site and bullmoose hates canadians, even if I'm shipping to a US address.
  15. Sailorwave II back up in red blue or green vinyl https://neoncityrecords.bandcamp.com/album/sailorwave-ii
  16. Robyn now has the RSD edition of Body Talk up on her site, but its damn expensive as usual https://store.robyn.com/products/body-talk-limited-edition-white-lp-record-store-day-2019
  17. grabbed the limited for the hell of it, I'll give the album a proper listen to it tomorrow, but all I can think of while clicking through is this tweet (the second half): especially Running Out of Time and A Boy is a Gun
  18. i just talked to the guys in the band and they said that the Max Payne 3 soundtrack is coming out on vinyl later this year, they’re just waiting on Rockstar to get things finalized.
  19. I mean, if you were born in BC everything east of Nelson or Cranbrook is the east coast
  20. I'm not a massive Thrush Hermit fan, but The Day We Hit the Coast is total classic 90s Canadiana, one of my favourites. I'd def pick up the LP just for that track.
  21. When did these guys go stoner rock? I stopped listening to the around Crisis, I was just sick of Dallas taking over most of the vocals. This track sounds like Red Fang or something.
