  1. weird, my copy of TEENWVFF arrived today, no warning that it shipped. arrived in perfect condition though (but I haven't had a chance to spin it yet). the 48hr version didn't turn out quite as cool as I hoped but whatever. it's a bit hard to photograph: backlit and a bit oversaturated: more realistic:
  2. Great album. I bought the silver 2nd pressing, prob one of the last of their stock, and the band put in a little personalized hand written note thanking me, which I thought was really cool.
  3. mine showed up in BC today too. no movement on the tracking number since the 7th. I'm almost tempted to take the belly band over to my buddy's studio to see what's on it (if anything actually survived).
  4. so was there no tracking number for this? I got my download code but don't see any way to tell the status of the record itself.
  5. nah, still waiting in BC. the tracking system for the order is garbage.
  6. so here's my question: with all the hype and infinite variants, is the soundtrack actually any good? I loved it while watching the show, but I've tried listening to the album(s) a couple times and end up just switching to something else. maybe I'm not in the right mood when I've tried, but maybe it's just not worth listening to? this is one of the major factors that made me cancel my initial preorders. I know... the hobby
  7. Yeah, saw the update this morning and spun the track a few times. I'm hyped, I just hope that if/when they do release it on vinyl it's not a clusterfuck like Boots was.
  8. Up now, grabbed the timed edition... $50 CAD after shipping though, goddamn (if they honour the shipping price, there was no option to choose your location before checkout so it just applied what I assume is the Euro shipping price).
  9. My work SO gave me the heads up on this today: https://twitter.com/MilanRecLabel/status/768513808314667008/photo/1 http://lwlies.com/articles/akira-vinyl-reissue-milan-records/
  10. Hmmm, I'm gonna have to give this album a listen. Two Dancers is the only album that grabbed me (and I love the hell out of it), this track seems like they may be a bit back in that direction but more synth elements.
  11. Interested a bit, but I really wish that Juliana would get all (ok, most) of her solo stuff pressed at some point, and a repress of Only Everything.
  12. cool, thanks. I'm going to see how it sounds after a proper cleaning, but that seems to be a likely plan.
  13. update: played it, no thump but a fair amount of pops and clicks. one particularly bad section on track 2 of side b that actually makes it skip, right on a splatter bit. it feels like something is embedded in it. I'll give it a good cleaning and see if it helps, but it's a bit of a bummer.
  14. shit, I haven't played mine yet, now I gotta check when I get home
  15. I ordered the EU record/tshirt bundle, after conversion it was $54 CAD to ship to Vancouver. I mean, that's still better than getting it shipped from the US (and even getting it shipped TO the US @ my PO box was $59 CAD), but damn. Couldn't let this be the first preorder I skip getting a shirt for.
  16. amazon has one left in stock: https://www.amazon.ca/Sprained-Ankle-Vinyl-Julien-Baker/dp/B013WLVV6K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465874872&sr=8-1&keywords=julien+baker+vinyl my copy arrived today and it's yellow, 3rd press, of 3000. also up for preorder on the 6131 site?
  17. amazon has one left in stock: https://www.amazon.ca/Sprained-Ankle-Vinyl-Julien-Baker/dp/B013WLVV6K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1465874872&sr=8-1&keywords=julien+baker+vinyl my copy arrived today and it's yellow, which seems to be the regular release of 3000 according to discogs, but isn't listed on the 6131 site.
  18. Yeah, like a week and a half ago from Amazon.ca. I have a feeling that they haven't shipped yet because I ordered the Julien Baker LP at the same time, and although Amazon claimed to have it at the time I have my doubts about that. The lot is probably going to be held up for a while until just the Grimes records ship.

  20. Damn, totally missed out on this. I have the first three EPs, every single one shipped in really shitty packaging and have trashed covers, but at least the records themselves are fine.
  21. The boys are back with the new album IV, their most impressive and highly anticipated project yet. IV continues their forward thinking progression, sounding something like a jam session in space between Can, John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock's Headhunters, Weather Report, Arthur Russell & MF DOOM. With tracks like "Time Moves Slow" featuring haunting vocals from Sam Herring of Future Islands, the syncopated groove of "Lavender," a collaboration with Montreal based producer Kaytranada, the rumbling fusion build of "Confessions Pt. II" featuring Colin Stetson on the bass sax, "Love" which is highlighted with smokey left field raps from Mick Jenkins & the epic chords of "Speaking Gently," IV is an exploration in post-genre virtuosity. Out Summer 2016 on Innovative Leisure Records, BBNG prove yet again that the possibilities & discovery in their musical quest are infinite. Tracklist: 1 And That, Too. 2 Speaking Gently 3 Time Moves Slow (Feat. Sam Herring) 4 Confessions Pt. II (Feat. Colin Stetson) 5 Lavender (Feat. Kaytranada) 6 Chompy's Paradise 7 IV 8 Hyssop of Love (Feat. Mick Jenkins) 9 Structure No. 3 10 In Your Eyes (Feat. Charlotte Day Wilson) 11 Cashmere 2xLP US preorder: http://badbadnotgoodil.bandcamp.com/album/iv $19.98 USD Canada preorder: http://craft-shop.ca/artists/badbadnotgood/badbadnotgood-iv $20 CAD (+$14 min. shipping ) Time Moves Slow is a pretty sexy jam.
