90s was my favorite era for music, especially for Canadian stuff, though I don't own much on vinyl. Why the hell are the Hip's albums so damn expensive (like over $40)? I'll eventually get some stuff from Sloan, but I really want them to just press A Sides Win, they're basically one of the greatest singles bands ever and you'd have almost everything you need with that comp. I need to finish getting the albums from Shadowy Men, but most 90s albums weren't on vinyl as far as I know. I'd love to have select albums from Doughboys, Killjoys, Rusty, Headstones, MGB, Thrush Hermit, Gandharvas, Age of Electric, Limblifter, Junkhouse, Odds, Pure, cub, Big Sugar... shit, too many good bands from thT decade, and those are just the "big" ones.

new track is OK, have to give it a few more listens but it's a lot simpler than TSOPTC and way more polished than anything before that. I'm also dumb and preordered before reading the thread fully or checking my email so I got the yellow before I knew of the org her options. ordered a black & gold and requested that my original order be cancelled, hopefully they do it.

I'm seeing them in Seattle at the end of May. it would be cool to hear new material, but honestly, I wouldn't care if they just played old stuff. I wonder who they're replacing Jon with and how it's going to effect the music, even if they just add a temp hire for the tour. Without the second guitar old material could be a bit lacking.

I'm sitting here in the back of a van on a laptop tethered to my cellphone and grabbed KMD's Black Bastards off of UGHH, but can't get anything off of Dimple because even though I have a US shipping address I can't use my canadian credit card. at least I could get KMD and the mail-order Whatever Nevermind, but trying to order records in canada is bullshit.

I used to think Tool fans were the worst, then recently Death Grips. The last few days, I don't even know what to think about Brand New anymore.

It would be funny if the generic release had a printed inner sleeve that perfectly filled the diet. I'm pretty sure there were no RSD copies in canada, or at least on the west coast.

Didn't find anything on my list at all, the main wants being the RE Nirvana tribute and the Frank soundtrack. I hit the shops a bit late but it sounds like only a fraction of what was ordered arrived. I saw the DFA1979 7" but passed it up once I realized it was a picture disc with two songs from the LP. I ended up grabbing a copy Merzxiu, there were literally dozens of copies at both stores, but I guess that makes sense since the label is local. Didn't get anything else, I'll be looking online and maybe hitting some a couple places tomorrow to check the leftovers.

Ordered. I would have loved to pick up a translucent copy today, but the two stores I hit were a shitshow and one only had five copies that sold out quick, the other I don't even know if they got any, didn't stick around to ask after browsing and not finding anything.

I'll be all over this if it is sold anywhere else. motherfuckers won't ship to Canada and won't ship to my PO box in Washington with my billing address being in Canada. Bleed American is really their only album of theirs I love and I've been wanting a copy for a while, just not something with six sides.

well shit... They do exist. Arrived today, it is the reissue from last year. 180g black, which is fine with me. So ordering from the label and shipping to north america works and the price wasn't super terrible considering ($45 CAD shipped from Norway).

hah. this just kills me. oh, you mean the people that you made your millions on the backs of, that do everything for you, that you wouldn't be shit without, don't get the pay or recognition they deserve while you take the credit and cash in? and that isn't fair? do tell me more.

ok, cool, Matador is shipping me a new copy, that was easier than I was expecting.

that sucks. at least I can listen to the entire album without much issue after it gets past the first few second on each side (I just remembered that there's a speck of "something" embedded in the vinyl that does add a couple pops on one track, but it's not that bad). have you contacted 4AD/Matador/wherever you bought it? maybe you can get a replacement. I haven't heard back yet, but I'm hoping they'll do a replacement without needing to ship my copy back first, or at least provide a shipping label.
