  1. Checking in here for the first time. Post-rock is crack. I don't know why, but this music is just unreal. PG.lost, Sleepmakeswaves, Caspian, ITTCT, Jakob.... There's an album you guys should check out too, "Mitau" by Audrey Fall. and Besides "We Were So Wrong". A little more underground than the big heavy hitters. Audrey Fall is like metal post-rock, kind of like Sleepmakeswaves. Besides is more like Beware of Safety, pg.lost.... Anyway, I'm a little high and I'm gonna go listen to Pg.lost and go to sleep because awesome.
  2. I like everything PG.lost has done, same with Jakob. Jakob's albums are all so different to me though, at least when you compare Cale:Drew and Sines. Right now, my favorite Pg.lost track is "Maquina" which I think is off of Key. Shit is just unreal.... like, perfect post-rock. Anybody else spin their copy of Sines though? Curious to know if Emergent (side A, track 2) is fucked up for you as well.
  3. Bahhhhh..... "Emergent" is fucked up on my copy. Anybody else have a constant popping/click as it spins around? I'll try cleaning it when I get back on Sunday night, but its not static/dirt-sounding.... it's like its scratched or the groove is fucked up. It makes a loud clicky pop as it goes around. Damn. Blind Them With Science sounds amazing though!
  4. Sick. Spinning "Sines" right now, getting some Blind Them With Science in before I hit the road. Why is post-rock SO damn addicting? I don't understand. It's like I can't get enough, and will do anything to have certain things. Pg.lost is the big one now to bite me.... I've finally almost completed Caspian's discography (just waiting for the Live at Old South Church repress) and then Rosetta, and now these guys, Pg.Lost.... sleepmakeswaves.... arrrgh. You guys should see the lineup for the ArcTanGent festival happening in the UK soon. Unreal.
  5. lol the CD copy! Ass. haha I hope these don't go up this weekend because I'm going to be away and with limited computer access. On a side note, I am in need of EVERYTHING by Pg.lost. Sell me whatever you have, please.
  6. Subject pretty much says it all. I am looking for copies of all 3 of pg.lost's full-length albums, "In Never Out", "Key", and "Its Not Me, It's You!" on both CD and vinyl. This music has hit me hard, and I need to own this. Please contact me with what you have. Thanks!!!
  7. From Phil: We will be playing Loft on the next tour. (paraphrased from Facebook) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Just got my package Tuesday. Haven't spun Sines yet, but I played one side of Beware of Safety "It Is Curtains" during my lunch break today. So sick. Have "Sines" in my car though. Blind Them With Science has to be one of the greatest post-rock things ever created. Can't wait to sit down with that on my turntable. Head will go 'splode.
  9. We'll get a few days heads up on the pre-order for these right? I'm going out of town again this weekend and don't want to miss out on this stuff. Sick, I'll be in touch. gotta run to work now
  10. did this happen yet? I'm so pissed I passed on picking up a copy at their Rhode Island show. Totally should have done that. Grrrrr. Hope the new mastering is worth it and sounds better/great.
  11. how did you even come across them? Those guys are super young too iirc. I love their mix of post-rock and like, screamo hardcore haha. Very cool shit.
  12. came in hoping I could bust on them for copping Hammock's album title, but.... this seems like it might rule. Will check out later.
  13. New song kills. Been off Caspian for a while, since discovering so many new bands but damn.... this album is proving to be absolutely titanic. They seriously need to keep Procellous in the set though. Was bummed I didn't get Waking Season > Procellous and Quovis > Further Up > Further In in Providence. Drove all that way, only to get Gone In Bloom and Bough as the only song I knew, haha. Didn't own anything besides Waking Season at that point. They need to just start doing 2-set shows, like Phish and Rush. There's just too much damn material to honorably do it justice in one set. If you are going to try, go all the way.
  14. Dude I know. I hope they play "Finland". I hoped for them to also play "Echoes" but they fucking cut out the ENTIRE intro opening section live, which is my favorite part. I hope they play other shit from Salvation too though. Deafheaven is going to be so weird seeing them in a huge place... I think I might travel to see them in a small venue somewhere. Bummed I missed the boat on getting to see them at an intimate place.
  15. Probably going to take one of your Constants, the Red Sparowes, and the Junius LP. Gimme a day or two to consult the bank account.
  16. Oh man you have fucking Athletics on vinyl???? I just got hit with a $350 lab work bill.... so I'm going to have to take some time and figure out what I can afford to offer on those. None available on discogs. Didn't even know that shit was ever pressed!!! God damn this hobby.
  17. those Northeast dates fucking blow, NYC on a thursday? God damnit. Probably have to do the Boston show because of my work schedule. I guess I can't complain, I get to see Cult of Luna on a Tuesday too so that works.
  18. Yeah man, I'm totally after all them. What do you have?
  19. So.... not sure how 420-friendly you guys are here, but... being that I partake very seldomly (usually no more than a half-dozen times a year, truthfully) when I get the chance to combine that with music listening, its a special occasion. Decided to throw this record on. wowwwwwwwww guyyyyyssssss Dude, "Untitled III" is without question the greatest Rosetta song. I have many other favories (Je Nen Connais Pas or whatever it is, Temet Nocce, etc) but man, this song is fucking leagues ahead of EVERYTHING. It is utterly perfect "Rosetta". This album is just utterly tremendous. It keeps blowing the fuck out of my mind the more I listen to it. They've gotten to "their place" the way Isis gets to "that place" but doing it on their own, with their own sound and take on the trippy post-metal journey. Anyway, just some thoughts. So thankful this album is a thing.
  20. Okay cool, because I was emailing them a few days ago about my Sines order, and we were having a pleasant back and forth until I asked about those albums, and then all of a sudden the communications stopped, so i was like, uhhh...... haha The cheapest on Discogs is $54.
  21. Make the trip, dude. It will be worth it. This new material is so unbelievable. Peak of their career so far, without question.
  22. Okay, so.... seriously, fuck you guys for introducing me to this music. What a curse. Question: Do we have DEFINITIVE knowledge that Cale:Drew and Subsets and Solace are going to be repressed/re-released? I'm looking for CD versions of these albums as well, and I can't seem to find any anywhere at any reasonable price. I'm close to shelling out $27 for the Semaphore 7" but I really don't want to spend over $50 for Cale:Drew on CD. God damnit, post-rock. I hate you guys sometimes.
  23. So, what are we speculating that the cover means? To me, it looks like a dude just face-planted into some cake. Or he's been in darkness, and is seeing the light wash over his face for the first time as a result of Deafheaven's music?
  24. Damn. I was considering dropping the $110... maybe even $120, because that material is amazing and hearing it on vinyl would be so sick, but jeez.
