  1. SSIA. I'm looking for a blue vinyl copy of this release. Doesn't have to be sealed or anything. I have cash! I am also looking for: Cult of Luna - Salvation Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along The Highway Rosetta - A Determinism of Morality If These Trees Could Talk - Above The Earth, Below The Sky If These Trees Could Talk - S/T
  2. I hope you are right, although I'm having trouble imaging just how that would be possible haha
  3. I think they sound fantastic, man. Black Seeds with Derek Roddy's drumming.... just crazy. I may try to find original presses because I feel like the CD's I bought when those albums first came out had a warmer, more squashed and compressed sound that I love, but these do sound (and look) very nice. Do you have original pressings?
  4. People who like Deafheaven will probally like Izah as well. And it turns out I's right. Probably going to spin this record tomorrow... been a while. I usually play Roads to Judah and save Sunbather for my car for release after work.
  5. I just got the Amongst The Catacombs and Black Seeds repress/remaster(?) in the mail and spun them the other day, and Amongst The Catacombs sounds fucking INCREDIBLE. Black Seeds is great, but the guitars were very low in the mix. The drums are super up-front, which is fine... just weird. I don't get the talk about Deafheaven.... I thought that sounded fine. I'll have to spin that tomorrow morning and re-assess... I listen to the CD at least once or twice a week.
  6. This album sounds so great on vinyl though, the pressing came out VERY well. I'd reconsider that position dude!
  7. Haha don't get me wrong, I wasn't knocking it or indicating that I dislike it. Its a great record. Just not my favorite. Everything Caspian has ever put out is amazing, which is pretty incredible. Could you imagine if they recorded this album with Matt Bayles? fuuuuuck But yeah, Tertia is a wall of mud. It doesn't breathe. Which is kind of fitting for the album art and color scheme... it all goes together very well, which is a pretty cool thing.
  8. Spinning Tertia now.... forgot how suffocating the production is on this. Very "small" and closed-in. So much speed picking... lol
  9. Rosetta - Flies To Flame Just got my highlighter green copy in the mail yesterday, and spun it today for the first time. This thing sounds like ASS. There is SO much noise in the recording, and you can hear the noise jump in and out on the right channel. Its very weird. And the sound... just sucks. It sounds like like the master was pressed with a dusty master plate or something. The CD sounds AMAZING though. I've listened to that like 4 times already.
  10. That I can remember right now: $100 for Krisiun - Unmerciful Order $90 for Immolation - Dawn of Possession original press $75 for If These Trees Could Talk - red 1st press, a couple weeks before they announced a repress. D'oh!
  11. Bump for later.... probably going to take that Caspian next week when I get paid.
  12. These guys are amazing, I need to explore them more. I have a few friends who just saw them recently in New Hampshire, too. They said it was amazing.
  13. Once I finish spinning "Celestial" by Isis i think I might throw on my copy of Tertia I got from the band at the Rhode Island gig. I never listen to Tertia, honestly. Now, when there's a Four Trees repress, THEN i will lose my shit.
  14. My question is how will that 31 minute song fit on a side? What's the maximum length for a record side?
  15. This seems to be the case... they didn't play it in Rhode Island. Maybe I can bug them enough to play it in NYC in September. Have they ever played Loft at all?
  16. THIS ALBUM IS SO GOOD!!!!! I actually just listened to it yesterday. Although I wish they didn't shrink-wrap the record. My came with corners bashed in, a massive seamsplit along the top, and the thin cardstock jacket has a serious warp in it. The record itself is awesome, and plays really well. More people need to listen to this group.
  17. My clear with pilsner copy of "You Are The Conductor" might be my favorite record because the sound is just PERFECT. One of my next favorites is sleepmakeswaves "...And so we destroyed everything" on 180g white. Low surface noise... plays really well. Just a good press. My clear copy of Deafheaven's Roads to Judah also sounds amazing.
  18. why does black sound better? I have a few clear and white albums that are my favorite-sounding.
  19. I've got an extra copy of the black/clear swirl "Red Forest" repress if you're interested
  20. If any of you guys have an extra copy of The Four Trees on vinyl that you could part with, i need that. Also, my order for Caspian albums would be like this: YATC -> Waking Season/The Four Trees -> Tertia -> Hymn The Four Trees/Waking Season is just depending on mood and which I've been listening to most often. Is it true that they totally retired Quovis -> Further Up -> Further In??!?! I would empty my bank account to see that, and LOFT!!!!! Also, this new material is likely to be killer. I can't wait.
  21. lol really? I thought it was the band themselves because I bought it from their bandcamp page or wherever, not Translation Loss' page. In any event, that EP is SO amazingly awesome. I was on the fence for so long about getting it, because the music didn't grab me too much while listening on my computer. But I played the CD today in my car, and I'm pretty sure I'm already onto my 3rd play-through of the whole thing. It's just amazing. Going to spin the vinyl tomorrow morning. can't wait! AND I CANT WAIT FOR MY VINYL COPY OF WAKE/LIFT TO GET HERE AHHHH OMG
  22. Glad this is making the rounds. Going to pick up the vinyl and CD when I get my next paycheck next week. Already spent my allowed amount this week on music, haha.
