  1. I won't say that I've been told what the release will be. But unless I'm being seriously trolled, I'm 99% confident I know what it is. I'll be keeping things quiet out of respect for Forbenator and the label, but I'll just say that the members who frequent the niche threads and releases that I do - and you know who you are - will definitely want to grab it.
  2. Man, every time this gets bumped, I get more and more anxious. Really can't wait for this PO to drop.
  3. Got tired of wondering who the hell was being played over the radio at work today, and whipped out my Soundhound app. Turns out I've been putting up with Imagine Dragons' bullshit for a couple of months now. Daily.
  4. New year, new bump. This thread was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed seeing the eye candy that you fine folks have come up with. Anyone care to keep it going? I'll contribute. THERE WILL BE FIREWORKS / THE DARK, DARK BRIGHT TRANSLUCENT NAVY BLUE
  5. My dad was a car salesman when I was in junior high. He was pretty good at it, because he's got excellent people skills. He ultimately had to abandon it because he struggled with having to leave out specific details, to land certain sales. This obviously pertained to used models, but it was definitely pushed on everyone to ensure they met quota.
  6. Great news. Please keep us in the loop, if you wouldn't mind.
  7. So yeah, this is pretty tight. Listened to the first track and deemed the EP worth $5 to explore. Get this pressed; I'd definitely purchase a copy, and I have several friends who would also hop on board.
  8. Great first post, m8. Welcome to VC. I think you'll go places.
  9. On my phone at the moment, so a multi-quote with specific responses is out of the question. But I wanted to say thanks to everyone who responded. I feel the same way that most all of you do -- nothing beats catching a loved band in small club or bar for $15. For anyone curious, the band in question is The National at an outdoor stadium in Berkeley. I caught them in Portland at a similar venue just last year, and it was amazing. I'm the kind of guy who refuses to watch an arena show with binoculars; whether it's a bar, a music hall, an opera house, or an outdoor stadium, I'm almost always front and (somewhat) center. Being in that position for The National was one of the best shows I've ever attended, which is why I'm half-considering this price. But I just don't know. Being that I caught them < 4 months ago, I'm sure a lot of their setlist will be very similar. It could be worth it to pass, even though I know it'll be one hell of a show. I could just take the funds I would spend on a ticket, and cash it in for 240 McNuggets...
  10. Is the 40-nugget quantity a real thing? Good luck, man. // As someone who attends small venues 90% of the time, I always find myself very conflicted to drop $65 for a show. Am I alone in this?
  11. So good, but that last one takes the cake. His face. You made me do this.
  12. Nothing against you personally, but I can't stress how much I loathe "Tumblr speak". It's quite literally the worst.
  13. Since you asked, this is probably the freshest thread. For what it's worth, I like your topic title quite a bit more.
  14. Someone get In Today Already Walks Tomorrow pressed. That album is fantastic. ...ASWDE doesn't do a whole lot for me, so I'm not personally losing sleep over this Kickstarter. So to speak.
  15. I know it was brought up [just once] earlier, but this is actually a really good pick. Aside from the overload of nostalgia, it's still an impressive record on its own.
  16. I certainly don't doubt that. I'll openly admit that I'm not too familiar with Macklemore, outside of the fact that he looks like an inferior ronniegwilliams.
  17. I don't even know where to begin with the video itself. My face literally hurts from the sheer amount of cringing.
  18. This is very true. You really ought to. San Francisco is about 3.5 hours away for me... but within a week's time-frame, I'd have to make three separate trips to catch BTBAM + Deafheaven, Russian Circles, and TWDY. Highly considering it.
  19. I don't know how big I am on Helms Alee quite yet, but if they win me over on their tour with Ken Mode and Russian Circles, you better believe I'll grab a copy from their merch booth.
