They showed it on their social media. I don't think they did it for anything special.

Welp, John Golden apparently cut the lacquers for Suicide Invoice and Audit in Progress ("GOLDEN" stamp in the runouts of both). It looks like Dave Gardner cut Automatic Midnight, though (based on the "DG" in the runouts and the different etching hand overall).
RTI's characteristic matrix scheme is present on all 3, but I can't say for certain that they were pressed there.
Automatic Midnight

B: SP-1217-B DG 28831.2(3)...

Kind of glad the Loser Edition is on black, it keeps with the trend of all the black Swami releases in my collection.
As happy as I am to have this band back together, I would still love a little more touring from Drive Like Jehu, at the very least.

Two weeks ago i got a mail from PayPal with a tracking number.
After two weeks it still says " Pre-Shipment, USPS awaiting item".
Sent an e-mail to riot style but no reply so far.
Did get my 80th spam e-mail from them saying they are selling the drips album and that they are almost gone and i should move fast and buy it!!!!.
I did. In June.

Yep, is embossed. Haven't had the original pressing in my hands, but it is an embossed logo on the crystal ball so assume it is the same.
Haven't given them a play yet... hopefully over the weekend I can crank these jammers up!

Iggy_Pilot reacted to muttler in PO Now: The Bronx - V
The jacket says Made in the Czech Republic on the back of all of them. Only II is a gatefold, I and III have an insert.
All are on White Drugs... I is WHTDRGS-014 and II is WHTDRGS-015.
What is a little confusing is that I has matrix ZE5357 and II has ZE5754. I'm not totally up with it all, but I think that might be Zenith here in Melbourne?
Hope that's helpful!

Iggy_Pilot reacted to bluescreenlife in Picked up my most coveted album this weekend! (official QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf)
I actually sold my copy, I couldn't justify having a record worth $300 on my shelf when I had other monetary needs. However, the few times I played it, it had some very light crackles here and there, presumably just from use over the years, but only really noticeable between songs.. During the songs that pressing kicked ass. Dynamic, punchy, I loved it.

Iggy_Pilot reacted to mindovermatter in PO Now: Every Time I Die- Low Teens [9/23/16]
So. I finally got bored enough that I created a screen printed jacket to house my fucked up version of this LP. I had some fun with it by doing some split fountains, so each one was a little different.
I made a few extras for folks on the board. Send me a message and pay for shipping and it's yours. However, please note that preference will be given to those who have ordered anything from me in the past versus giving these away to n00bz. Sorry!

Iggy_Pilot reacted to phantomtides in Post Your Record Storage Area
This topic is giving me such a woody.
I collected fiercely in the 1990s, in retrospect the best time possible since everybody was dumping LPs. I'd spend $100 or $200 at Jerry's in Pittsburgh or the various stores in Chicago, DC, the East Village, Vancouver, London, San Francisco ... and I'd come away with more LPs than I could carry. Sometimes I had to find a UPS drop-off before I got back on a plane. (There were no UPS Stores back then.)
The first of two kids arrived in 1999 and they took most of my time, so I've barely bought any vinyl in the last 15 years. But for her 17th birthday last year the older one got an RP-1 she can take to college ("university" for those outside the US), along with 50 or 60 duplicates from my stash. Seriously, nobody should leave home without Blood on the Tracks and Astral Weeks (green label, natch) at the very least. I've bought a few things here and there when I find nice stuff for less than $25 or even less than $20 per disk. (Seriously? $25 for a single LP? WTH?!)
I'm lucky enough to work from home, and we have a semi-finished attic, so the first shot is the view from my desk, and once or twice a day I climb into the chair to listen to one side as a break.
Rock and pop is on the left; jazz, blues, and a small batch of classical live on the right. We old guys have a lot of the gems, like the original Art Pepper on the rack to the left above the 'table. Warms my heart that so many youngsters are keeping vinyl alive.

By the way, the plural of vinyl is "vinyl." You no more pick up "vinyl" (with an s) than you pick up "fishes" at the market for dinner. Stop me gnashing my teeth. Please.
Be good, kids. Enjoy what you've got. These are good times for music, if for little else.
If anybody cares: VPI Aries I with Lyra Helikon cartridge, Rowland Capri preamp, Rowland 102 amp (for summer), Mac Mini file server with Schiit Modi Multibit DAC and two hard drives (one a mirror of the other, backed up every day at 4AM), Quicksilver Audio Silver Sixty mono amps with stock EL-34s (for the cool months), Scansonic 2.5 speakers, Sunfire sub, DIY DH Labs cabling throughout. CDs in the background are all ripped to the server now, along with about 2000 live shows by various groups, especially the Grateful Dead. Anybody want the little silver disks?

Iggy_Pilot reacted to throwgncpr in CONVERGE - Jane Live 2xLP (5 different artist covers) PO Now!
lol, no. You need a bigger sample size, and your analogy is dumb.
This doesn't need retreading here, but there are loads of reasons why people what black records, and yes, sound quality is one of them. Will all black copies sound better than color copies? No. But there is a greater chance of issues with splatters and other crazy color combos. On top of that, did you ever think that some people may think the splatters and tri-split records just look dumb?
I have some black records that sound like shit, and some swirls that sound great. I'm going for black almost every time though.

Iggy_Pilot reacted to zaoza in Nothing - Tired of Tomorrow
Nothing played a show last night in Malaysia. I got the whole band to sign on the cover of my Vertigo Flowers edition. I asked Nicky to write "fuck Martin Shkreli" but instead he wrote "Domenic Palermo Fucked Martin Skhreli (Bitch)", with a misspelling on that dude's last name since Nicky can't recall the correct spelling. Still funny though.

Yeah, it's just Mike Ness's voice talking into the microphone....just kidding! Sorry I couldn't resist. Yes! It is the actual music. I just meant that it is Mike Ness's voice, in other words, all fans know his voice from any other artist (my opinion). And yes, it is the correct album. Love this album as it was apart of my younger punk years. That's why I was so happy to see it was being pressed on White Marbled vinyl and being numbered :-) MOV Records got back to me this morning and this is the reply I received:
Hi Marc
This is really strange.
The only explanation I have , is that there might have been some red vinyl left from the previous pressing (a different record all together) and that it got mixed in with the white.
White is a very contagious colour….
You have indeed a very very limited pressing….
All the best
