I leave for London is 12 hours. Holy shit...

We've had the Amazon Echo for over a year and we just got an Echo Dot so we have full coverage in the apartment. 90% of our lights are smart bulbs so now no matter where we are in the apartment one of the Echos will hear us and we can control the lights. Light switches are for suckers.
 
We use "echo" as the wake word instead of "Alexa" so sometimes random shit makes it wake up. Especially shit on TV.  But when it wakes up and listens, it uploads the audio too the cloud and you can go and listen. We were going through and listening for weird shit. A lot of TV shows/movies and us saying weird shit to the cats. We clicked on one and it was us having sex and we almost died laughing.
 
 
There were like 10 clips of me watching the new Gilmore Girls and my girlfriend was like "What the fuck is this shit?" and I had to admit to binging through all like 7 hours of the new season while she was at work. Alexa be snitchin'

Just confirmed I'm seeing Nothing at a burger bar on 2/9...something positive on the weekend

Alright. So. This week I got my shit together and bought actual meals at the store instead of a bunch of random shit that I throw together into dinners.
Ate the last dinner tonight, and if any of you are interested the things I made were:
 
Bacon wrapped scallops w/sriracha mayo, avocado in little bibb lettuce wraps.
Minestrone (two days worth and froze another twoish days worth.
Chicken with broccoli and brown rice.
Flank steak w/ balsamic glazed onions, and brussel sprout hash.
Blackened tilapia w/ creamy cauliflower.
Tomorrow we eat takeout burritos like little shit piggies.
 
The brussel sprout has was incredible, so I hope some of you google that shit and try it.

New season was pretty much all duds except San Junipero.  Not sure what it was, but something's missing with the Netflix ones.

So, I am totally late on posting this (though I had posted a thank you!), but here's the pic. I have been putting off that Julien Baker release because I don't want to give money to 6131, so I was super pumped on that. Not pictured: 2 Amoeba bags and a ton of download codes. I'm also pumped on the pizza cutter.

Black & Read in Arvada is even better than Wax Trax but definitely check out Twist (and the Tattered cover book store next door). Also if you are in that area and enjoy burgers go to City Grille it's not too far and it's amazing (whoops just saw the veggie limitation they probably have options, it's very upscale for burgers). Chain Reaction records in lakewood is really cool too but it's strictly punk and metal records but they have like shirts/pins/patches and other cool curios. The only veggie/vegan I can think of is Marquis, great place to see a cheap show and they have pretty good pizza with punk themed pizza names I think the vegan one is the tofugazi made with the vegan cheese

I just finished that episode and it is bubble gum rainbows compared to White Bear which is easily one of the most stressful mind fucks I've experienced in a long time.

Sorry for the lag in posting! Been traveling so much around the holidays! I still have no idea who this was from but IT IS AMAZING. Seriously, you killed it. I've been meaning to buy the SDRE LP2 for years. Also that talons' album is amazing and exactly the type of thing I'm into. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

You'll be coming in the middle of winter which means there could either be 2 feet of snow on the ground or sunny and pleasant. It's pretty challenging to actually make outdoors plan. That said, there's isn't much you can find in Boulder that Denver doesn't already have, minus proximity to outdoors (some good hiking right out of the downtown area). The "center" of town is Pearl Street, and this is where most of the bars and restaurants are (along with a pedestrian mall). Pretty easy to kill a couple of hours just walking down it if you're visiting. There's also some good tea houses and coffee shops.

Watching this thread because I'm planning a Denver trip myself. Although, I will be looking to smoke. Lots. 

It may help if you narrow stuff down. 
 
A decent portion of my time spent when in Colorado involves alcohol / recreational drug use. If you aren't interested in that stuff then we won't suggest it. 
 
Any diet limitation. Vegetarian / vegan. 
 
You are going in winter are you interested in any winter sports. Skiing / snowmobile.

This was from me. In hindsight, i did not leave any clues, a faux pas on my part.  However, I am glad you enjoyed it. It was fun putting it together.  I also  picked up one of the MDB split 7"s, but then saw that you got the box set. If not, i can send it along. Also, check the half-title of Wild Things - it should be signed by Dave Eggers i believe. A furry book, nothing creepy about that. Real Gone is one of my favorite Tom Waits' records. A must for all. Agreed, a lot of newer rockabilly can be hit or miss, but the 1st JD McPherson record is great. Happy New Year and all the best to kith and kin!
