My Secretly copy arrived today but it's at my parents so I should get it later this week.

I imagine this is part of the HMV vinyl week they usually run in June - in the U.K. at least. Other countries it’ll be called something different.

Bidding was around the $300 range for some time which honestly isn't too bad for a well-done boot of this, but the way the price jumped the past 24 hours I think whoever is bidding doesn't realize it's a fake.

 

Poor soul...

Why don't you report the item to eBay as a boot?

I’m not sure how exclusive some of those variants are, it looks like some are just surplus stock that’s been rebranded. For example, the Arctic Monkeys album on silver wax was a web store exclusive. And the Bon Iver album on red was a secretly store exclusive.

For UK stores they have relaxed the rules a bit:

"this year online rules have changed so that shops in the UK can sell online from 6pm"

Including Black Friday RSD, we'll have RSD in August, September, October and November 😆

Yeah, not really sure about this "plan" they have come up with. Let's face it, most people will be able to get what they want online at near retail price on discogs or the bigger record stores. No panic.

The black press of Gore was a Deftones web store exclusive. 

Just checked discogs, you can get the black pressing for a reasonable price.

It would be completely irresponsible to have it in June imo. Is anyone wanting to be rushing back into crowds of people after this? If it does go ahead I’ll pick up whatever I’m after online. 

Fuck it, going with the VMP. Works out same price as the CT exclusive (if I was a CT member).

My copy is as white as snow but is pretty warped (damn amazon) but it was like £10 so didn’t bother getting a replacement. It plays fine though and sounds great. I may pick up another (hopefully) flat copy if I see one over on these shores.

I've obviously paid inflated prices for vinyl before (and sold for inflated prices as well).  But with a band like Deftones it's literally just a matter of time before a repress, and I am a patient man.
